Jul. 29, 2008 - Forever
In Christ alone my hope is found;
He is my light, my strength, my song;
This cornerstone, this solid ground,
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm.
What heights of love, what depths of peace,
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease!
My comforter, my all in all—
Here in the love of Christ I stand.
In Christ alone, Who took on flesh,
Fullness of God in helpless babe!
This gift of love and righteousness,
Scorned by the ones He came to save.
Till on that cross as Jesus died,
The wrath of God was satisfied;
For ev'ry sin on Him was laid—
Here in the death of Christ I live.
There in the ground His body lay,
Light of the world by darkness slain;
Then bursting forth in glorious day,
Up from the grave He rose again!
And as He stands in victory,
Sin's curse has lost its grip on me;
For I am His and He is mine—
Bought with the precious blood of Christ.
No guilt in life, no fear in death—
This is the pow'r of Christ in me;
From life's first cry to final breath,
Jesus commands my destiny.
No pow'r of hell, no scheme of man,
Can ever pluck me from His hand;
Till He returns or calls me home—
Here in the pow'r of Christ I'll stand.

This is one of my favourite songs. The words are true and powerful. Truth is the foundation of trust. If nothing is true, then nothing can be trusted. God's word is true. It can be trusted from in to amen. If God's word is true and trustworthy, what does that say about Him?
Remember these words from your Maker:
"The grass withers and the flowers fall,
but the word of our God stands forever."
Isaiah 40:8 (NIV)

I love that song Hayley! It makes me bawl!! Jesus loves me! Leaning on him is what makes faith so easy, as a matter of fact, that IS faith!
By the way, I realized that the slideshow wasn't on the sidebar, but it should be above all the text. Is it? Is it in center, or on the side?
See ya later!
Love you,
Jess

I just came in to turn your computer off and noticed your new entry. Yes, I would have to agree Hayley, that is one of the best songs written. My heart is so warmed to read your thoughts on this. Love, Mum xo

I like algebra 2 and chemistry best this year. I'm trying to do algebra 2 in one semester so I can do geometry this year, too. :)
Bible Quizzing..... is rather hard to explain unless you can watch it. :) Basically, there's 15 of us. Each year we are given a couple books of the Bible to memorize - this year we are doing Mark, 1,2,3 John, and Jude. In the actual quizzing, they ask us questions out of the text, and we answer them. It's really a LOT more complex than that, but that's the basics. :) In the spring we have national tournaments. :)
Well, I need to go! You have a great day! In Christ, Erica

Sorry, reading your blogs, and I feel like I'm intruding on your life. But it is on the internet...
I like that song. Well, at least I like the lyrics, but I've never actually heard the music. I would love to though. All of the people around me prefer to listen to less savoury music, though. I will not metion them, as even the titles are horrid to mention. But me, I prefer music without lyrics...
Silly me, I only just realized that this is a HOMESCHOOLING blog, and I cannot log on to send you a message, cause I'm with google blog. I am turning blind in my old age. Yeah, just turned 15. I'm ancient!
Sorry, I'm babbling. Do you mind if I babble some more?
We were talking about Judaism in Christian Knowledge at school, and we watched a video on it. This Jewish pastor (Or whatever they are called) said the wisest thing I'd ever heard about religion. He said 'No two people can ever have the same views of who God is, so there are really as many religions as there are people.' You know, out of everything I've heard, I believe in those words the most. I believe in God, but I hate the dispute between Catholic and Prodestiant, so I refuse to give myself a denomination.
So thats my life story. How increadibly boring I am! I suppose that is why I like to read and create stories, to escape my own boringness... I know thats not a word, but you know what I mean.
Anyway... I would say more but my mind has gone blank... I suppose thats lucky for you. You've edured enough from me until I pry into your nest blog and think of more to type.
Aha! I discovered that I should put my name in the box that says Anonymous. Eureka! Anonymous... what a funny word...
