Aug. 27, 2008 - The Visit!!

And some other news, as well. :D

Firstly, we've got a contract on our house, so we'll be moving next month! :D We're hunting for a house, though, and so far we've found zip. :/ The one house we were hoping to get, well...let's just say the owners are making some really outlandish decisions, so it's not looking like we'll have a chance at it. Oh well....

On Thursday (the 21st), my Grandpa, Uncle George (Dad's brother), and my cousin Joanna (12 years old) arrived for a 5 1/2 day visit!!! :D It was the first time most of us had seen them in 12 years, so it was very exciting. :D Having them here was a lot of fun, too...both my Dad's brothers are a lot of fun, so it was great spending time with my uncle. Grandpa is very quiet, but funny and great to be around, and Joanna...well...let's just say it was just like having another sister around! :D I was slightly disappointed that her older sister Julia (20) couldn't come, but it was very exciting to find out that she's engaged to be married on the day after my birthday!! :D

Thursday afternoon we spent chatting for a bit...then Uncle George and Jeremy went out to play a little ball!

Joanna...I don't know what the girls did with their time, but Moriah, Sarah and Karah sure hogged her while we were at the house!

Thursday evening we went over to their hotel to swim in the pool, and later that night Dad got home and we all played card games until they left to go back to the hotel for the night. Joanna spent the night with us, though, and from what I hear, they stayed up to watch the synchronised swimming in the Olympics, which Sarah thought was on at 1am (it was really on at 3am, which is what I'd told them earlier *shakes head*). Needless to say, they were very tired in the morning! ;)

Friday morning we all ran around cleaning the house for the final showing (not that we knew it would be the last one, of course! ;)), then after a late breakfast we all ran some errands to give the buyer some time to look at the house. After we got back, all of us except for Mom and Micah headed out to a fun park about 30 minutes from here, to go go-karting and do arcade games (it's hard to come up with things to do around here! *frowns*). I didn't get any pictures of the go-karting (which was really fun!!) as I was driving one with Karah as my passenger, but I did manage some pictures in the arcade. :)

On the way there, the three amigas:

Almost forgot about this! Before we left, we took some family pictures! :D Grandpa is behind me to my left:

All of us....Uncle George is on the left beside Joanna...I think you know who everyone else is ;)

We loved the racing games!

Karah liked winning things! lol

While we were there is when Mom called to tell us that the guy who'd looked at the house that morning wanted to buy it...Uncle George and Dad worked with Mom over the phone to negotiate with the realtor...it was kind of funny watching the process! :D After that was taken care of, we left to go eat dinner before heading home. It took awhile to get to the restaurant as we took a little, um, "adventure" on our way there (*big grin* at Daddy), but we had enough time to eat and get home before the realtor came to have Mom and Dad sign papers. We kids played outside for most of the evening....

Saturday, was mostly spent in the pool. :D Altogether we were swimming probably close to 5 hours, and most of that time we had no sunscreen on (as we forgot it back in the room, and I stupidly decided not to go back for it since it was cloudy when we got down there)....soooo....we all looked like lobsters (and felt like wooden statues) as a result. :/ But we had fun! :D

Karah made friends with every little girl that came to the pool :D

Playing a pool game...Jackpot, I think

Even Micah got in for awhile! :D But....I accidentally got him too close to a splashing brother, so he got water in his mouth, and that was the end of his love for the pool. :/

He preferred his "throne" anyway ;)

We all tried doing cannonballs at the same time (several times)...I think this is after one attempt to get a picture

Here's a video I took :D The best one was when all of us (Jeremy, me, Moriah, Joanna, Sarah, Josiah, and Judah) did it together synchronised, but the video was too long to put on Photobucket. :(

Two dancing water monkeys :D

Joanna...

Moriah

Some of them played basketball while we were there...

Karah loved getting rides around the pool

Thought the splash was kinda neat :D

After we got out of the pool, we went to Cracker Barrel for supper (YUM!!!), then headed home to rest for the evening.

The sunset on the way home:

Uncle George bought this outfit for Karah at the restaurant...she loves it! :D

I have no pictures from Sunday (we basically lounged and watched the Olympics all day...we were exhausted!), except for this one that I got late in the evening. Sarah had spotted some small snakes earlier in the week, and we knew they were garter snakes, but I had no idea how small they were until I saw one for myself. :D
That's a baby snake...so cute! :D I did push it a little bit when trying to get a picture of it, though...it got fed up with me being in it's face, and tried to bite me. Good thing it's not poisonous. ;) I kind of wanted to hold it, though...it probably would've freaked out at being held by a giant! ;)

On Monday, we traveled to go look at several houses, and stayed in a hotel overnight.

Micah loves being able to face forward in his carseat now. :)

Once again, the three amigas in the backseat...with very interesting expressions.

Only Dad, Mom, Micah and I went to look at the houses, while the rest of everyone stayed at the hotel (swimming and probably watching tv). When we got back, we girls chased Micah around the room for awhile, then found something he liked to do(we all look so interested don't we?):

Mom decided to get a picture of grandpa and Jeremy from the loft :D

The boys were upstairs watching tv...

And weren't thrilled to realize Mom had taken their picture!

In the evening, Princess Diaries (the first one) was on tv, so we girls all watched it together. :D

Before they left our room, I played a game of Egyptian Rat Screw (really fun card game!!) with Daddy and Uncle George...very exciting, and painful too. :/ I'll never make the mistake of playing that game with my Dad and one of his brothers ever again! lol

In the morning, we had breakfast together, and then it was time to say goodbye. :( We had a great visit, but it was much too short.

Aug. 20, 2008 - .....

Grandpa, Uncle George and cousin Joanna will be here tomorrow, so this will be my only post for now until probably Monday or Tuesday. :)

Sarah... :)

He was inspecting my teeth ;)

Karah and Micah decided to jump on me when Moriah tried taking a picture! :)

I know it's blurry, but he was so cute sitting on the table :D

If you don't like bugs, skip down a bit...
We found this interesting looking moth/butterfly outside :)

Can you see it??

Only for a picture would I get my face this close to that bug...and yes, I did get that close! *shudders*

To end on a sweeter note ;) A flower on one of the basil plants :D Smells good!

Aug. 14, 2008 - Pictures!!

Like you expected anything else. ;)

Micah's very yummy birthday cake: Oreo :D

His reaction to seeing a candle on his cupcake :)

The obvious first birthday gift for a boy. lol

Begging me for more scraps of cake while I frosted it. :D

Dad and I went through all the boxes we had in one part of the shed on Saturday. This is only part of them!!! We organized it all, then put it back in...fun!

Karah likes to water the garden

Obviously disturbed by something

His favorite hiding place! :D Moriah and I can actually fit in there...let's just say the containers and mixing bowls get put away tons of times every day! lol

Sarah and I have started jogging every day...this morning was our second day in a row. Hopefully this will last a long while! ;)

My uncle, cousin, and Grandpa are all coming to visit us late next week...we're all really excited!! :D It'll be the first time many of the younger ones have ever seen them, and the first time I've seen them since I was about 4 years old!!

If everything works out alright, I'll be gaining twin boy cousins in a few months!! Be praying for the babies though: the one twin is measuring eight weeks smaller than his brother, so my aunt will have to go through a procedure to hopefully help the baby catch up in growth. I was kind of hoping one of them would be a girl (they already have four boys!), but somehow I knew they'd both be boys. ;) Boys are cute though...if a little crazy at times!

Aug. 10, 2008 - Micah!!!

Happy 1st Birthday Micah!!!

Can you believe he's 1 year old today??!! :D

Looking at his rock (he's fascinated by them)...

His opinion about getting a haircut :)

He loves chocolate! :D

I'll have more pictures to post later...time to help with lunch! :)

Aug. 5, 2008 - Pears!!!

This afternoon, Moriah, Karah and I went pear picking! :D There's a pear tree in the field by our house, and it's practically dripping with pears! We only brought back one basketful, since we don't have much room to freeze them (and neighbors can quickly tire of being given jars of canned pears, pear jam, pear butter, pear preserves...*wink*), but believe me, we barely put a dent in that tree's inventory! lol

The fruits of our labor :D

The little bugga-boo FINALLY loves taking baths!!! For months he would scream at the top of his lungs while Mom and I tackled him for 60 second baths, then last week he just climbed right in while Karah was taking her bath. He still had his clothes on, too! lol

A sunrise picture...not that great, because I didn't get outside early enough.

For contrast, here's a sunset picture. :)

I was attempting a picture of...well, I don't remember what I was attempting to get a picture of, but this is how it turned out...at first, I was disappointed, but now I think it looks kinda neat. Whaddya think? (honestly now! if you think it just looks like a messed up picture, don't be afraid to say so!)

Jul. 30, 2008 - Movies :D

This past weekend we saw two movies that I liked (there was a third, but I didn't see the whole of it, and probably wouldn't recommend it anyway *wink*):

"Sahara": It was a bit violent for the younger ones, but I thought it was very good! :D It reminded me a bit of National Treasure, though not as good, and was very exciting. One bad side to having watched it though....Moriah now likes to pop out in front of us and say "Hi! How are ya?" just like the guy in the movie. Very unnerving! lol

"Chocolat": and no, I did not misspell that. :) Although I can't say I recommend it unless you've got your DVD remote ready to fast foward through two scenes, and although there were some objectionable things/ideas presented in it, I really enjoyed it, and thought it was a sweet movie. :) Make sure you have some chocolate on hand to eat while you watch it, though...it's, like, impossible, to watch this movie without having a serious craving for some good dark chocolate. :D

Next week, I'll be watching "Friendly Persuasion", and I'm really excited, because I've had numerous friends tell me how good it is. :D Now if I can just find a store that has it....

Jul. 30, 2008 - Extras, just because :)

Some random pictures from the past few days that I forgot to post the last time. :)

She looked so thrilled to have her picture taken. :)

He was playing in the office, and decided to be the King :D

He's the Daddy when he and Karah play "house" :)

When SuperKitty isn't saving the world....

He might be found sleeping amongst the CLEAN dishes!!! (It was quite interesting when we found him there...I had to look twice before I realized it was a CAT! lol We still don't know how he got in the cupboard, AND closed the door...one of the boys thought it'd be funny to squirt water at the poor guy while he was in there)

An interesting picture of Sarah, through the lattice on our deck. :)

All of we kids finished our quota of books for the library's summer reading program, so late last week Mom took us to turn in our lists. As one of our many prizes, we all got coupons for a free ice cream cone, so this afternoon Mom took us to get those! :D Yummy, especially on a HOT day like today!! ;)

I passed Driver's Ed (the driving part) on Thursday, so now I can get my permit (not sure when I'll go for it, though). :) I'm glad to be done with it!

I've finished several books recently, but not very many good ones. :/ I just finished reading "The Princess and the Hound" last night, and it was the worst "quick pick" from the library I've probably done in a long while. Tons of magic and a couple inappropriate (although vague) hints. *sigh* Somehow I finished the whole thing, though. I won't be reading it ever again, though!! I've also forbidden my sisses from reading it. *stern look* ;)
"Under a War-Torn Sky" was pretty boring, too. It put me to sleep at one point, actually. 0_0 Sure, I was really tired, but still...It got a little more interesting at the end, but I wouldn't want to read it again.
I'm reading "God's Smuggler" right now, and that is REALLY exciting and interesting! :D It's a good book...up next, I've got "The Railway Children" and "The Story of the Treasure Seekers" by Edith Nesbit, as well as "The Merry Adventures of Robin Hood" by Howard Pyle, plus I still need to finish a book about Mary Shelley, and "Our Mutual Friend"!!! I've been reading that for two months now! *blush* Not consistently, of course, but it's still embarassing to take such a long time to read a book that I really love. ;)

Micah turns 1 in less than two weeks! :( It's been a very short year, I'll say! He's walking almost all the time now, and is starting to sound like he's saying words (besides his normal "Mama" "Ma" "Daddy" "Nana" and other names, of course) and phrases! :) He's only using the few signs that we've taught him (with Karah and Micah, we've done sign language before they could talk to say "please", "thank-you", "more" and so on) when he's absolutely desperate: instead, he tries to say the words! :D He's also learned this thing, which we call his "Hulk" move. lol He clenches his fists, arcs his arms a bit, scrunches up his face, and growls. :D It's so cute!

More pictures soon! :)

Jul. 22, 2008 - An overdue picture post..

I thought I'd post some more pictures, since it's been a while since I posted last (and I'm starting to get reprimands for neglecting my poor blog! lol). :)

Both of them had just woken up...I think you can tell which one is more awake. ;)

I'm christening him the Laundry Boy! :D He loves pushing the hampers around the house!

Getting a birthday package ready to mail to a friend (as well as another package that went to Sam!) :)

I was playing with Micah, and tied this on his head...he posed perfectly for Moriah! :D

Have you ever tasted a clover blossom? I love their taste! :) Everyone in our family (that I've been able to convince to try one!) has said they taste weird...but I think they taste good! :)

Stormy skies...

This should give you a rough idea of how long I've been hoarding some of these pictures! I've finished both "Jane Eyre" and "The Hiding Place"...quite awhile ago! :/ The rest are my current reads. :) And I'm a lot further through "Our Mutual Friend" than where my book marker was! *horrified gasp*

I've had two of my driving lessons so far...and my last one is on Thursday!! :D

We started back to school this week, and it's going well so far.

Another post soon, hopefully :)

Jul. 14, 2008 - A woman named Irena...

My Mom sent me this email about Irena Sendler...it's very interesting (and really sad...makes me mad, too), and reading the information on her website was interesting as well. This woman should be in the history books!

"There recently was a death of a 98 year old lady named Irena. (She died on May 12th)

During WWII, Irena, got permission to work in the Warsaw Ghetto, as a Plumbing/Sewer specialist.

She had an ulterior motive...

She KNEW what the Nazi's plans were for the Jews, (being German).

Irena smuggled infants out in the bottom of her tool box she carried, and she carried in the back of her truck a Burlap sack, (for larger kids).

She also had a dog in the back, that she trained to bark when the Nazi soldiers let her in, and out of the ghetto.

The soldiers of course wanted nothing to do with the dog, and the barking covered the kids/infants noises.

During her time and through the course of doing this, she managed to smuggle out and save 2500 kids/infants.

She was caught, and the Nazi's broke both her legs, and arms, and beat her severely.

Irena kept a record of the names of all the kids she smuggled out, and kept them in a glass jar, buried under a tree in her back yard.

After the war, she tried to locate any parents that may have survived it, and reunited the family.

Most, of course, had been gassed.

Those kids she helped got placed into foster family homes, or adopted.

Last year Irena was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize....

She LOST.

(This is the part that is REALLY sad!!)

Al Gore won, for doing a slide show on Global Warming.

Check it out: http://www.irenasendler.org/"

Jul. 10, 2008 - Flowers, Food, and Fun! :)

We didn't really do anything "special" for the 4th, other than eating our traditional 4th foods (we even missed out on much of the fireworks that we usually watch on tv, since we were watching a movie!), but we had lots of fun anyway! :D

Mmm!! We had our first watermelon of the season (it was DELICIOUS!! :D), and plenty of other fruits...and yes, I always drown my burger in that much ketchup. :D

Mom made scrummy (scrumptious+yummy=scrummy) watermelon slushies for dinner! :D

And strawberry cake for dessert....hungry yet? ;)

Micah loves making a mess out of the cupboards. He has started taking some steps! :) He'll only take one before dropping down to crawl, though...

The dandelions are just about the only "flowers" left that I can take pictures of *sigh*

Though these one come out occasionally :)

We went to the library yesterday, and it was PACKED!! We realized as we walked inside that it was Wednesday, the day they have the kids' programs...and yesterday was the snake program! :D Which was good, because I'd been wanting to go to it (though I didn't want to go to the one on insects *wink*). :D It was almost over, though, so they were putting the snakes away when we got in. I didn't get to touch one. :( I got to see them up pretty close, though! :D I got several books that look really interesting, and have already finished one of them! :)

I've not been doing much besides playing games and reading this week, so I don't have anything more "interesting" to say. ;)

Jul. 2, 2008 - Sisters...

and some more random photos. :)

Flowers:

One on one of my four cucumber plants!!!! :D

The beautiful (and very sweet smelling!) flowers on our favorite tree:

Karah:

My reading buddy :D

One really thirsty baby! :D (it's an empty water jug, in case any of you were worried *wink*)

Gorgeously cloudy sky

Mama was being REALLY silly :D

She looks rather worried...

These two look rather bored:

And I look rather...weird! lol

Karah:

We girls took a lot of pictures while we were outside yesterday! :)

Sarah:

All of us girls! :)

Moriah was getting "snap-happy" while taking pictures of me...so she got a "look" :)

Moriah:

Whew! That took awhile! ;)

Jul. 1, 2008 - "Coming Attractions"

Sorry...got that Steven Curtis Chapman song stuck in my head. ;)

A hint for what I'll be posting tomorrow:

The first one came into being on a summer day in 1827!

And yes, I'm doing "history" during the summer....you should learn something new every day, so if you haven't yet today, look that up, and voila! You will have learned something new today! ;)

Jun. 29, 2008 - Some random pictures...

More pictures... :)

Mom gave him his first taste of ice cream! :D

Good thing Sarah had just taken out the trash! ;)

I've indulged in lots of reading this week. :)

I finished Driver's Ed (the classroom part...I still have the driving part to do) on Friday, when we had our test...130 questions, and I feel like I did a pretty good job. :) I'm glad to be done with it! Friday was actually a pretty good day in class, despite the fact that I had to go to the principal's office in the morning(that was actually fun! :D My "visit" was related to an incident with smoking that had happened the day before...so no, I was NOT in trouble! *wink*).

I'm currently reading through "Five Little Peppers" (also known as "Five Little Peppers and How They Grew")! It's been YEARS since I've read it! I'm really enjoying it. :D

Sharing one of his crackers with me. :)

Loves to climb trees! :D

My basic feeling when I get home in the afternoon...only 2 more days! :D

Giggles make it all better ;)

Thinking...

Jun. 23, 2008 - *mind draws a blank*

I. Am. Exhausted.

But, I survived my first day of Driver's Ed. And I'm now more grateful than ever before that I am HOMESCHOOLED!!!!! *high fives to all homeschoolers* *gives pat on back to those who've survived going to public school* I really don't know how you've done it!! :)

The not-so-good points of today:
::This class has nearly 50 students (48 if you wanna get technical). For a quiet girl like me who is nothing like the typical teenager, you get lost in the crowd far too easily, yet still stick out as a "stare" object for those bored persons who care nothing about the class or studying (and that'd be the majority of the class, if I judged correctly)
::The language those kids use...and the *things* they talk about (oh, and did I mention that only 3 other teens taking this class are 16 or older?)...me thinks I need to buy some ear plugs before tomorrow
::I really don't enjoy sitting in a classroom studying, writing down notes, and listening to lectures for 6 hours straight, with only two breaks(morning break and lunchtime). It was great to have an actual classroom setting, but not for that time period.
::I also dislike corny 80's and 90's driving videos with horrible actors.
::There are several "creeps" in the class (though I expected that, I did not think there'd be this many). My definition of "creep" includes (but is not limited to): hair any color but those which God chose to bestow on the human race (especially bright red); piercings anywhere but the ears; pants sitting anywhere below where they are supposed to sit; black fingernails, etc.
::I don't think any of the other kids actually care about taking the class...all they want is the piece of plastic with their face on it that gives them permission to drive.
::I abhor red hotdogs.
::After those six hours at the high school (which began at 8am and ended at 2pm), I came home to, only an hour later, find myself madly cleaning the entire house for someone who is coming to look at it this evening. (Edited to add: The guy seemed to love the house...*prays hard*)
::It's my week to do the litter boxes (Yes, "es". With three cats, it's absolutely necessary), and that means cleaning them, scrubbing, and changing out the litter out in the hot sun...probably my least favorite chore (though I'm getting a better attitude towards it, slowly). I don't know why I even felt compelled to mention that :)

The good points:
::Two of the girls were kind enough to ask if I wanted to sit with them, when they saw me by myself (and coincidentally, they were two of the, um, creepy, girls...but I was too glad to finally have a place to sit to worry about that) at lunchtime...not sure whether I'll take them up on their offer to sit with them again, but it was nice of them :)
::The instructor is extremely nice (though very strict, but a good kind of strict) and I suspect he's a Christian
::I learned a lot, which is always nice :)
::Mom let me make a frozen mocha when I got home! :D
::My main "good point" of today...See, the instructor is very strict, and at the beginning of the class, he laid down the law: you talk or misbehave in class when you're not given the "ok" for talking, you get a warning. Second time, you have to write a 5 page essay (and he's NOT kidding!!), and if you either A) don't turn in your essay, or B) get in trouble again, you get kicked out of the class and have to re-take it again after a certain amount of time. And I'll repeat: HE IS NOT KIDDING!!! So, after lunch, he left us all in the classroom while he had to go to the office to do something, and told us to be quiet and study our books while he was gone. The second he closed the door, the other kids (every single one of them. I checked.) started whispering. Then they started laughing and talking louder. By the time he got back, some were even yelling jokes at each other across the room. It's not a very good atmosphere when you're trying to study, let me tell ya. So, he, Mr. Rowes, walks back in the classroom, and, after finally quieting everyone down, barks, "All of you have a 5 [he might have said 2, but really I can't remember] page essay due first thing tomorrow morning!!!" I was rather disappointed, and kind of upset, since I hadn't been talking, but then the girl next to me (who just so happens to be the dirtiest mouthed of the bunch) raised her hand and said, pointing to me, "But sir, she weren't talkin'! [love her grammar, don't you? *wink*] She was like the only one..." I could've hugged her when he told me I didn't have to write the essay!!! :) I would've written the essay, and really it wouldn't have been that big of a deal, but I was still glad he knew the truth, and that I'm not getting punished for something I didn't do(and would never do....not even if one of my best friends was in the class with me!)! :)

Edited to add: I remembered another good thing about our instructor that I'd wanted to mention: He stressed the importance of good morals, and even gave we girls some good advice for protecting ourselves (most of which I'd heard before, but most of the others hadn't). I looked up really quickly with a huge grin on my face when he told one of the girls at the front of the room that he advised against dating, and especially during high school. :D So yep...I really like our instructor! He pretty much makes up for having to put up with the kids. :)

I'm really tired, and it's almost time for the realtor to get here, so I should get going. :) Please pray that tomorrow would go better in class, especially for our instructor's sake! :)

Also, I wanted to draw your attention over to Sister to Sister (and no, it's most definitely NOT because I just posted there...please will one of you girls write something soon so I'm not the first poster!! ), the blog that Olivia started as a writing project for young ladies to encourage one another. The girls have posted several very thought-provoking and encouraging posts over there recently...I'm impressed! :D So anyways, I just wanted to bring it to your attention. :)

Jun. 21, 2008 - A day in the park...

with Livi!!!!! :D Well, really it was only about an hour, but it was a FUN hour! ;)

(Moriah gets credit for all of these pictures...)
Snenic pictures first :D

After we (my Mom, Micah, Moriah and I, as well as Livi and her Dad and her Dad's friend) met at one of the entrances, we decided to walk up to the gazebo first:

We walked along the trails for awhile, chatting the whole time (of course!)

By the river...we then turned back, and headed off to....

Our favorite local coffee shop for some cappecinos! :D This was the best picture (of the silly ones we did) that Moriah got:

Before we had to say goodbye...we spent about 2 hours together, and had a blast! :D I miss you Liv!!! I'm so glad we got a chance to get together, though! :)

She made me this gorgeous charm bracelet, and each of the charms symbolize something she likes about me. :)

Thank you sooo much for coming to visit Livi! I had so much fun! :D

Jun. 19, 2008 - *Pictures*

Yes, another picture post. :D

Micah loves sitting in the chair outside!

Karah popped up beside me in this outfit last night...cute, huh? :D

"Beauty" is a fascinating book!!! :D

I love container gardening!

Official leaf inspector

And Official Leaf Eater

Checking for sticks is another part of his occupation

He doesn't like being confined to Nana's side

Nor does he like it when Mama comes out to spoil the party by taking him inside

Learning to brush his teeth...it's serious business. ;)

Moriah was taking pictures of the birdbath...

I'll have more after I meet (Lord willing) LIVI tomorrow! :D Please pray about that... ;)

Jun. 19, 2008 - Tagged by Amy and Sam!

I forgot to post this here rather than just on my LJ...here it is :)

7 things I'd like to do before I die:

1. Travel to Europe and various other parts of the world, but specifically England and Germany (my two main ancestral heritages)
2. Become good enough in piano and guitar to play much harder songs
3. Meet all my friends!!
4. Adopt an orphan (or 5...or 10!! :D)
5. Knit something for myself on purpose (I've only knitted myself a scarf, and that was originally intended for a friend! Turned out too skinny, so I kept it)
6. Go on missions, either a few short trips, or for longer periods of time
7. Get married and have a family

7 things I cannot do well:

1. Sing high or low
2. Beat my brothers at video games (other than racing)

Jun. 17, 2008 - The pictures :)

Happy Belated Birthday to Judah:
Enjoying some chocolate...

Happy Belated Father's Day Daddy:

We all love Looney Tunes! :D

And cards are a major part of special holidays around here :D

Mom got Dad a record player (he has a huge collection of old records!!), so now he can listen to them! He loved it. :D

Mama with crabby teething boy. He's working on his third tooth!

Much happier...but he copies the moves of others....

See?

That's what the air looked like on Friday, because of the smoke. :(

We've got iron in the well, so I posted this sign on the fridge as a reminder. ;)

Mom found this guy under our van :D

I threw out my old mattress, since it was really old (plus really uncomfortable, as it was made as a boxspring and mattress in one...basically like sleeping on a bunch of springs with no cushioning), but only found out afterwards that my air mattress has holes in it. Soooo....I'm without a mattress until this weekend. *dies*

Moriah "Oh well"

Sarah took this one...I thought it looked neat :)

Happy Belated Birthday Judah!!!!! (BTW, he got his present, Sam! :))

Happy Belated Father's Day Daddy!!!!

And if you stop by our house, don't drink the tap water.

Thank you.

And Goodnight. :)
