Aug. 5, 2008 - Pears!!!

This afternoon, Moriah, Karah and I went pear picking! :D There's a pear tree in the field by our house, and it's practically dripping with pears! We only brought back one basketful, since we don't have much room to freeze them (and neighbors can quickly tire of being given jars of canned pears, pear jam, pear butter, pear preserves...*wink*), but believe me, we barely put a dent in that tree's inventory! lol

The fruits of our labor :D


The little bugga-boo FINALLY loves taking baths!!! For months he would scream at the top of his lungs while Mom and I tackled him for 60 second baths, then last week he just climbed right in while Karah was taking her bath. He still had his clothes on, too! lol

A sunrise picture...not that great, because I didn't get outside early enough.

I was attempting a picture of...well, I don't remember what I was attempting to get a picture of, but this is how it turned out...at first, I was disappointed, but now I think it looks kinda neat. Whaddya think? (honestly now! if you think it just looks like a messed up picture, don't be afraid to say so!)

Great Pictures!
We also have a pear tree...ours however is almost a hundred years old and is slowly dying. It now produces pears every other year now...and this is one of those years! It looks like we will have a BUNCH!
