Feb. 25, 2006 - Going out with the children
Ok, so tonight we had a really neat experience that made me want to drop by and post! We went out to Quizno's and to Best Buy to price washers, since our sprung a leak, and we wanted to know how much a new one was to know if we should get ours repaired or not, so anyway, we parked our 1977 11 passenger ford van, and next to us was a van with a lady with a poodle. We were getting out at the same time as her, and she took one look at us and said something to the effect of "wow, you are even busier than me! I'd rather run a business!" which of course i took the wrong way, as i'm super sensitive to family size questions, but i just sorta smiled and brushed it off. Well, she kept going on about how she had one child only and took care of lots of foster kids, which was neat, so i think i DID take the comment the wrong way.. So anyway, we got dinner, looked at washers and came back to the van just as she was about to pull out. She had just bought her poodle a new sweater and the kids were absolutely enamored! Anna of course is obsessed with animals of any kind and was screaming "PUPPY! PUPPY!" over and over again, and the others were crowded around her van too, and she seemed to not mind. She was talking about her dog and his sweater, and making small talk, and then she said, "What church do you go to? I can tell you are churchgoers by how happy you are"
Now, how cool is that??? that just totally made my day! anyway.. just had to post!!

Wow neat! Was she a church-goer? What church did SHE go to? I always just hear people asking why atheists are always kinder than Christians etc. Have you been to Yahoos new answers thing?
