Where Righteousness and Mercy Kiss

Dec. 15, 2007 - Update

I know I haven’t been blogging much as of late, but that’s because I’ve been busy working on an *exciting project* which I hope to tell you about soon. I hit a snag recently, so it’s taking a bit longer than expected. And then there’s the fact that Christmas is only ten days away! This seems to be a slow time of year in the blogosphere anyway, which is probably as it should be.

Our sunny-blue sky weather has been here for at least a week now, which has kept the temperature outside frosty cold. If there’s one good thing about clouds, it’s that they provide a little insulation between us and outer space. But I do love waking up to the sun shining. :-) Yesterday morning the grass all around the lake was white with frost. I’ve never seen so much of it covered like that before. When Dad and I go walking, I’ve been having to wear two jackets along with my scarf and gloves. Is there anything you can do to keep your eyes from being cold? I have yet to figure that out.

Here’s a couple things I’ve been cooking in the kitchen lately (what I have pics of, that is):

My favorite – quesadillas. The one in the second pic I made with cheese, cut up chicken, and sliced jumbo olives from the Olive Pit. Yummo.

I finally went to the Bob’s Red Mill website, and they have a looooong list of gluten-free recipes. Score! Mom found their GF bread flour at the store, so I tried making some rolls. They came out good. The recipe made about 24, so they will last me awhile in the freezer.

I think that's all for now. Ta ta...

I have an idea to keep your eyes warm, but I don't know if it will work. You could try to wear sunglasses. Maybe it will keep the wind from blowing on your eyes.

Those quesidillas (sp?) and rolls looked DELICIOUS!!!

Oh, and your eyes being cold -- I guess you could wear goggles (sp?), although that might look a bit strange!! :o)
