It's Christmas Charlie Brown....

but don't let the ACLU hear about it. Here is an article in our local news paper. It tells about  "A Charlie Brown Christmas" special that was on ABC tonight. I could not help thinking,  as I read this yesterday in my local paper, that the way things are going with Christmas being turned into a comercialized event - I would not be surprised if someone decides that it is not politically correct to air this special in the future because it might hurt the feelings of those that are not believers in Christ. I for one, think this movie is a great example of how "simple" the true message of Christmas is - simple enough for a child to understand (even my 2 year old was in awe listening to the recount of the Christmas story by Linus) and isn't that just how God planned it....

Just my $0.02 worth, and from my home to yours ~ Merry Christmas!

I just...

...heard on SRN News (on the radio) that the Charlie Brown Christmas special remains the only annually-run Christmas special to keep a part of the REAL meaning of CHRISTmas. Don't know if that's true or not, but it very likely could be.

You added me as a friend. Thanks, but my curiosity is wondering why. :-)

I do think that it is very sad that the true meaning of Christmas is being pushed further and further back in people's minds as the years go by. This year has seen the ultimate in craziness, with some businesses not allowing any religious type decorations (some say no decorations of any form) or even their staff to wish people a Happy Christmas for fear of offending other religions.

What a lovely blog you have! I have to admit that I haven't seen the Charlie Brown Christmas tv special. I guess some how I have missed it every year. But I agree with you on how Christmas is becoming more and more comerialized every year and worse now is trying to be taken completely away. Blessings*

Happy New Year!

Blessings to you and your family for 2006! Oh by the way my daughter has three boys and one girl. She was disappointed her last number four was a boy and not another girl. Her first two boys keep her going especially N 4years old with drawing on each and every spot in the whole house. I think this is his goal in life. My daughter finds cake mixes in closets and parmesan cheese dumped out in hidden places. I could go on and on. Happy blogging.
