Follow that Bike...and dog...er sled...

Posted in Brats

HSN's Coordinator for Maryland has a couple websites you should check out! One is her own creation!

She writes: I created this website for people to follow the Tour de France.

Every year our family enjoys following two great races:  The Iditarod and The Tour de France.  The Iditarod is a the last great Dog Sled race run in Alaska in March.  The Tour is a month long bike race through France, Belgium, The Netherlands and Luxembourg which takes place in July. I have been working on a website to help my fellow teachers get on board.  You can go to http://tinyurl.com/o2bgn
This website is still in the works but it should give you a pretty good idea of all the educational opportunities in following the Tour.  I would love to have your input and if you are able to join us there is a link to sign up for the Tour yahoo group. The website also has information about the bikes, the teams, literature selections, history and tourism information on the coutries the bikers will travel in, and will include some lesson ideas.
PS.  If you want more information about following the Iditarod you can go to this great website.  I have done this for the last three years.  It is great fun! http://surfaquarium.com/eIDITAROD/index.htm
Note from Trish: Iditarod runs in March so save it for next year!

Apr. 20, 2006 - Bichon

Posted by kmills2
We had a cocker too! We had to give him away because my husband was allergic to him. We had him for 4 years but my dh suffered so bad the whole time. I mean walking the driveway at night just to breathe. Sherman, my cocker was my baby. You can see a picture and read the pitiful poem that I wrote about him on my blog. We are going to see him tomorrow. God allowed us to give him to a friend and we are only 10 miles away so we see him often. OK Bichon - we love our little Sophie, she is a great little one. I will try to post pictures of her soon. I bought her from a breeder in NC. I do know that they are becoming a popular breed again so you should not have a problem finding a breeder - just search the net. Charlotte.com has tons of listings for dogs in the classified section on-line. There appears to be several breeders in that area. Hope this helps and happy hunting.
