Yes I know it's only Saturday...I'm giving you LOTS of time to set this up this week. *S*
This month is Military Appreciation Month which includes Military Spouse Appreciation Day (just passed), Armed Forces Day (20 May) and Memorial Day (29 May). To show our support for our troops I would like to offer the following idea. I'd like to see this keep going beyond this month by the way so please share this with everyone you know!
I can't find the gal who shared about this on her blog recently (so I am not taking credit for it) but a while back a grassroots movement began called Patriotic Fridays.
The initial idea was to wear something red, white and blue to work, school, etc on Fridays in a show of support and patriotism. I would like to take this one step further...I would like us all to begin blogging about something, (anything!) patriotic on Fridays. We can include poetry, photos, writings, graphics, lyrics, whatever.
If we, as military families, don't show our patriotism, then who will?
And would you please leave me a comment should you decide to join in? I'd love to come see what you post!

Unfortunately, I'm no longer able to get the Patriotic Friday link to work. I need to search thru some of my old e-mail messages because I think I corresponded some with one of the people from the "original" site. I'll try to let you know when (and if) I find out what's going on with the site.
BTW, thanks for all your hard work to get the word out about it!
