An Update from My Home Front

Posted in In the Trenches
We, Bug and I, are back in DE and recovering from vacation! Actually if you've read my MamaBugs blog you know I've been getting organized for the new school year. I don't know when that will officially start for us but I just feel like I need to get ready now.
First, Sunshine graduated as planned. It was great to be able to sit right up front and see her sign her own graduation. That's right! She was hired to interpret the ceremony. So essentially they paid her to attend her own graduation! *L* The grandparents came from HI and were able to see her "officially" sign for the first time. Our friends got most of it on video for us.  We were so excited we forgot to take pictures! So while she is an ASL intrepreter, she also holds a second degree in Communications and Business with a minor in Anthropolgy and yes...she did graduate with honors! And DEBT-FREE!
Someone asked me to share more on that so I plan to...watch for it.
So a few days after graduation she bought a car. Figures! *LOL*
We went to the Oregon coast with my in-laws and all our girls for almost a week. What beautiful country. I got lots of light house photos...one of my life goals is to see all of America's exisiting lighthouses. We ate fresh seafood and loved the drrive through all the tiny little towns. We even went to the < ahref=http://www.homeschoolbuyersco-op.org/component/option,com_quickbase/task,details/Itemid,153/recordId,392/>Tillamook Cheese Factory! Can you say yummy ice cream? *sigh* I learned I don't care for curds btw!
Beloved and Skippy returned to DE after one week because of work and college classes. I can't believe we have one graduate from college and another going already. Whew! Glad I don't have to do all this studying! Beloved is busy studying for Chief in Sept so please add him to your prayer lists. He has a deployment scheduled for August but it's not a bad one at all....just a little camping trip (war games) in NJ for 2 weeks. I think he is looking forward to it. I'm not because he is going to miss yet another birthday of mine...wait..if he isn't home does it count? Hmmm.....
Bug and I had lots of fun with friends while in WA. We also went to ID, MT and WY.
I will have to tell you all about our trip to Heart Mountain, WY later on...way cool!
And I need to update you all about Yoshi...those of you who know me in real life will be shocked to know we have a....kitty!
