Atten-hut! Addressing the Troops
Hello and welcome! I am your new Military Coordinator, Sgt Mama! Anissa has released command and control over to me and effective immediately I will begin with my new mission. I hope you will enjoy your time under my command and direction. Please know that I operate with an open door policy 24/7 and welcome your input and feedback. After all, this is not just MY MISSION. It belongs to us all...military homeschoolers everywhere...all branches of service...all ages...all states and foreign locations. It doesn't matter how long you have been serving, how much experience you have, or in what capacity you are fulfilling your mission. What does matter is that you have, or know of, a family member currently serving in any branch of the military or in attendance at any military academy and are homeschooling, or have been at some point in your lifetime. So if you are a "brat" that has graduated from homeschool...that's okay! You are still welcome here! (Hi MySunshine! Sgt Mama waving furiously and blowing kisses at eldest dd!)
Ahem! I digress. (Lowering voice again!)
Expect to find sit reps posted here at regular intervals. Being a military family has it's own special challenges and rewards. Combine that with homeschooling and you could have the makings of EO or R&R. I hope to help you make more R&R moments. So whadya say troops? Let's step up and take this hill! Hoo-rah!

...my son has safely returned from Iraq and is currently not activated (he's in the reserves), so I don't know if I belong here or not...but I love, support and am thankful for our military! Thanks for doing this...I know it must mean a lot to those families who are active.
