I am to write about what people would say if a president was drawn as a parrot or Roman Emperor, why Andrew Johnson was drawn as a tailor, and what I think people in the South felt about being drawn as naughty children.

If a president was to be drawn as a parrot or Roman Emperor I think they would be insulted. To be drawn as a parrot says that you are annoying because you ‘squawk’ on and on about a subject or matter and to be drawn as a Roman emperor would mean that you are leading a crumbling nation!

Andrew Johnson was drawn as a tailor because he was attempting to stitch the nation back to together or as it says in my history book, “Stitching the tattered Union Suit back together”.

People of the South would feel totally humiliated! Being drawn as naughty children makes people believe that they were foolish dumb, well, children. Where as they were not dumb but misled. Drawing political cartoons about the South did no make them any happier to be apart of the Union Nation.
