May. 21, 2008 - My Swap Sister
This past month, I participated in something really fun I found at www.homeschoolblogawards.com. It is called Saturday Swap. You sign up and they pair you with another lady who becomes your swap sister. You fill out a questioneer about yourself and she does the same and you exchange them. You get to email eachother, pray for eachother, and make a new friend! You also get to exchange gifts that month through the mail.
My swap sister was Judy. Though with the birth of Eliseo I wasn't able to write her as much as I wanted, I read through her blog and she is such a sweet heart. The first thing that impressed me about Judy was her love for her hubby. You can tell that he is truly her best friend. She also has 5 beautiful children...2 born from her womb and 3 born from her heart as she says. And she encouraged and challenged me through her love for the Lord and sensitivity to Him. You can read all about Judy and her dear family at www.myadventuresinhomeschooling.blogspot.com .
And wow, did Judy send me a wonderful package! Plus spent the postage to send it way down here in Mexico.

Beautiful stationery which is wonderful as I love to write notes to people :) My favorite candy which I can't get down here...what a treat! A cross stitch which is one of the few sewing crafts I can actually do...I can't wait to finish it! My very favorite scent from Bath and Body Works...in a body wash and lotion. She sent that as something extra special so I can pamper myself after having little Eliseo...soo sweet and thoughtful! Plus pencils and crayons for the children's school...which they desperately needed! They were VERY excited when they saw those. And she wrote me a nice note too.
Thank you Judy! Getting to know you has been a blessing and your package was the highlight of our day!

Let me know what else you need, and I will see if I can round it up before the next time I go to Baja. It has to be reasonably small, though, since we fly in private planes!
