Where's Your Baby?

Joshua (3 in 5 more days) is very interested in the “baby in momma's tummy” these days.  It never fails that when we are in a public place, he'll ask (for the, approximately, 6 millionth time), “Momma, where's your baby?”  I'll point to my stomach and he'll say…”I wanna SEE it”.

Even more fun is when he finds another “bump” on momma…grabs it and says…”Is this your baby?”…”No, honey, (removing his hand) THIS is where the baby is” (pointing to my stomach)…he again grabs at his first guess and says, “Then what's this???”….Yeah, that happened at church…kids are not for the proud…or easily embarrassed!!!

Last night, as we ate dinner, Joshua declared, “I have a baby in my tummy.”  Everyone thought that was pretty cute and David, Jr explained to him (as only a big brother can do), that only mommas have babies in their tummys.  A little bit later, Joshy was unusually quiet and was leaning back in his seat with his hands on his ribs…finally, he put his hands on both his bottom rib bones and said in amazement, “I have TWO babies in my tummy!!!”

I have been laughing ever since I read this one!

I love all the posts, just don’t always make the effort to respond. Thanks, though, for taking time to write them.

Love you all. Happy Birthday to Joshy – wish we could be there.
