Dec. 12, 2005 - Narnia
The movie was excellent! Very faithful to the book. They changed a few, in my opinion trivial details. That is the best movie I've seen in a couple of years. I have often debated with myself on what age would be best to let the kids watch The Passion , being unsure, but I just figured out that The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe- is kind of a Passion play for kids. Very cool.
My son Aidan (we only took our five and ten year old- left the other two home) got very upset when Aslan died... He kept saying "oh no!" I told him, it'd be ok. He watched the whole stone table scene in my lap. I could tell too that he really liked Peter with his sword and armor. He's really going to love the dress-up armor I found him for Christmas!
Jessica had a good time. She's read the book now three times. This Wednesday she is going to her book club meeting on the Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.I bet all the girls will be talking about the movie!

I am glad you had such a nice time! I am going to take Alex on Wednesday. I am not sure if Megan would handle it well, so we are going to make her wait, I think.

Yes, our kids enjoyed the movie tremendously! It was the best movie I believe we could have taken them to. Aidan was totally engrossed in the movie. When Aslan came on the screen the first time, he was like "WOW!" and he couldn't get over some of the funny parts of the movie either.
It is one of the best family movies that's ever been made (in my humble but accurate opinion).

my kids loved the Narnia movie, too. esp the Aspie one (who has a huge cat obsession, LOL).
I have no idea bout the circles or finding others here with autism spectrum or "LD" kids.
At the top of my blog I do have a link to other "LD/Dyslexia/Autism Spectrum" entries.
What do you mean by proverbial autism? is like high functioning?
My oldest and middle don't have 'real' autism spectrum labels (but our doctors all agree it's there), but my youngest is needing m ore than I knowhow to deal with right now so we just got the Sensory Integration 'label' and dyspaxia and I am getting some help from a behavioral psych who has given some preliminary DXes that he is helping me figure out how to handle.
