The Coming Weeks
My hubby has been staying at my grandma's house. His transfer has not come through, so he can not live with us yet. Please pray that it goes through quickly. My mom is going to Cali for almost a month. She leaves tomorrow. That means I will be all alone with five kids. Day and night. Hubby comes home when he has the day off, but that's only two days a week! I'm scared! I think the kids are going to tie me up and destroy the house and jump off the barn roof. I know, many people have to live like this, and I am probably just a big wuss. On the bright side, one of hubby's coworkers is going to Greece for a month and offered his house to hubby. So he will have internet access and cable tv. At my Grandma's, he was stuck watching what she watched. No cable, no dvr.. it was like the stone age! Hehe.... I'm really glad for him. My grandma is very hard to talk to. Mostly because she doesn't hear what you say. Hubby seems to be getting along with her good, though. He's good like that.
There are still boxes all over my house. It has been hard to get anything done. My mom has done a lot, thankfully. But, I imagine that when my mom comes home, the house will look the same as it did when she leaves. I'll try. I really will. Did I mention I have five kids?! Toddler B is a two year old terror. Even if it were just him, I don't think it would be any easier. He is definitely the most difficult.
I never got to borrow a rototiller, so I never got a garden going. And I think it's really too late now. But I should be able to plant lettuce when the weather cools. My grandma gave me two tomato plants and I brought one with me. I also brought two pepper plants with me along with chives, basil and cilantro. So I am not completely gardenless. We have an apple tree here. I hope we get apples. Those stinkin Japanese beetles are destroying everything. They completely ate our plum tree, There are maybe three leaves left on the poor tree. They had eaten it before I even knew I had a plum tree.
Well, I think I've rambled enough for one night. Talk to you the next chance I get!
