Saving Money on Grocery's

I am finally learning...it's not a system..it is depending on the Lord..for HIS direction for OUR family!

FINALLY learning this.... as much as I LOVE LOVE LOVE systems...and checklists!!  That is why I added 2 of Laine's Letters with some quotes....

Encouragement Articles to help us on our journey:

Laine's Letter - Home Ec

Quote from the above Laine's Letter:

"I pray before I shop, while I shop, and then after I shop as to what I will cook. I love shopping with the
LORD! ~Smile~"

Laine's Letter- Recent Questions May 2005

Quote from the above Laine's Letter:

"All I can tell you is that it takes prayer and practice. I keep praying, and I keep practicing what He teaches me. "

"The crucial thing is to put the LORD first in your finances. If the LORD is not first in your finances,
you will definitely have a purse with holes in it as described in Malachi. But if you put Him first, your
barns and vats will overflow, as described in Proverbs, chapter 3. "

A few last minute tips...

-Check your cupboard and freezer first for meal ideas

-Try to avoid many meals that have whole pieces of meat (roast, steak, roasted chicken, etc.) They go longer mixed in something, and ground beef is your best friend, if you like it.

-Make a two week menu for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks

-List EVERY ingredient you'll need for these two weeks, then estimate the cost

-ONLY use cash for grocery budget     If you run out of money, too bad. \:\(
