Day 9 His Purpose Everyone has a purpose—To glorify God and do His will. How that translates in each of our lives is unique to each of us. When your husband discovers his purpose—what he was created to do and becoming what he was created to be—he will find fulfillment. Pray your husband hears God’s call—so that who he is and what he does lines up with God’s purpose for his life. Whatever God has called your husband to be or do, He has called YOU to support it and be a part of it, with prayer and encouragement or in some case to help in other ways. God has called you (the wife) to something too…BUT it WILL fit in with your husbands calling—it will NOT be in conflict. Pray: - my husband will hear the call You have on his life - help him to realize who he is in Christ - enable him to walk worthy of his calling and become the man of God You created him to be - don’t let him get side-tracked with the things that are unessential to Your purpose for him - strike down discouragement - life hi eyes above the circumstances - the desires of his heart will not be in conflict with the desires of Yours. Power Tools For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that. I Corinthians 7:7 But as God hath distributed to every man, as the Lord hath called every one, so let him walk. And so ordain I in all churches. I Corinthians 7:17 Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power: 2 Thessalonians 1:11 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, Ephesians 1:17-19 May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed. Psalm 20:4 who has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time, 2 Timothy 1;9 |
