Education Is An Atmosphere
Oct. 26, 2006
Hello, is anybody out there....

It seems like everyone has disappeared!  Just about all of the yahoo groups I am on have gone almost silent.  Not many emails being sent out.  Not as many posts on blogs as usual.  Our homeschool group even had a fieldtrip planned for Friday & not one single family (out of 60) has signed up to go.  This a bit of a relief for me because we are so busy with school work, revamping schedules, trying to finish the current term before Thanksgiving that a fieldtrip right now just slows us down.  I guess everyone else is feeling the same way.  The holidays are coming and I am hoping to put aside our regular schedule and do some extra, holiday oriented reading and activities as well as some extra goodies.  Indian studies and visits to an Indian reservation and festival, more indepth in our astronomy, work on some lapbooks for our Flat travellers, more free reading read alouds over tea time, etc.  Not too mention I think my sister is truly coming next week so that will be a fun week with a lot of nature study but not much of anything else school-wise, I'm not complaining, I am sooooo excited they are coming & can't wait to have them here for a week.  School is a non-issue next to family.  The kids do have a PE class today that we have to go to so I need to run and get the family moving.

Complaining or not... we're coming! We can't wait.

I'm still around. I think that, at this time of year, most of us are too busy making sure our school year gets off to a good start to deal with e-mail loops and such. I've been trying to breathe some new life into my blog recently because I was gone for most of the summer. I should have posted something letting people know I was taking the summer off. I just didn't realize I was taking the summer off until it was too late. Aside from our usual church camp stuff and family vacation, various members of my family had serious health issues that called me away. I will probably blog about it all soon. Right now I am just trying to set some things in place that will force me to blog something at least a few times a week. Blogging certainly is an interesting journey. God bless you and your family!

Hi;
I'm sorry that we couldn't make it to your fieldtrip. We really wanted to go but we have been very busy lately. I'm glad you had a good trip to Georgia! It's always fun to get away from things here and there.
