• Saturday, June 17, 2006 - Interested?? or just polite.

Posted in homelife

I got our vacation pictures back from Wal-mart yesterday. I took 4-24 picture rolls of film and about 200 on the digital. I think I will pick and choose from the digitals what to actually print up.    Yes I have an old fashioned film camera.  Actually I like it better for action pictures.  With our boys action is the name of the game.  Our digital is great for still portrait type pictures but it is way too slow.  I have many pictures of the backs of the boys heads. Of course I can always delete those.....Wait...... I'm getting totally off the subject.

I have debated about posting these.   I'm wondering "are these ladies really interested in my family vacation pictures or is it a being polite kinda thing".   But there you go it is my blog after all.

This is my favorite picture of the whole trip.  My husband actually taking his shoes off and frolicking.... I love that term.... frolicking in the sand and water.    He doesn't relax this much too often so it is something the boys will remember for a long time.  Tim  likes to do excavation work here at home.  Guess what he and the boys did?   They dug trenches in the sand.

It was a cold day and Brett didn't last too long.  I am so mean but he looked so pitifully cute sitting there wailing.  See where he left his shoes right next to daddy's? I had to get a picture before I went over and let him lay his head on my lap.

We sat there for a long time watching the other boys dig trenches with thier dad.   It was wonderful.  I just loved sitting there watching the most important people in my life having fun together.  I felt so totally blest and content.

What beach was that? How about a vacation report?! :-) I remember you said Oregon but... where? We do have a wonderful coastline! I'd be happy to see more photos if you want to post them!

What precious pictures! I hope you are planning on framing them! I couldn't agree more...my favorite thing to do is watch my dh playing with our kids. Whether it's wrestling in the living room, or splashing in the pool, it brings my heart so much joy to see them enjoying their relationship.

Thank you for sharing your sweet memories with the rest of us.

Blessings,

Angela

I'm totally interested in your pictures! I just got back from our own camping adventure. It's funny that the beach you're on looks familiar to me. :) Seriously.

Super picture of your little guy on your lap. What a snuggle bug. Does your highschool boy still adore you like that? If so, you're doing great!

I loved your pictures. My fave was of your hubbie "frolicking". Looks like you had a wonderful vacation, and yes the oregon coast is very seldom warm. When it is though, it's beautiful. I'd love to see LOTS more pictures!

I hope you're feeling emotionally better. I think we all have our moments. These are great photos! I especially love the one with your son pouting and the shoes - too adorable. I think it would be a fantastic photo to have blown up and framed. Find hope in Jesus this week!

These pictures are just awesome. I am not saying that just to be polite either. I love the one of your husband frolicking !!!!!!!!! And the one of your Brett and the big and little shoes. And you counting your blessings on the shore. All worthy of framing.

Thank you so much for sharing them.

The pictures are all wonderful, it looks like you all had a great time. I agree about the camera v. digitals. I have tons of blurry shots because the kid was moving too fast or I have pictures of someone else's blurry kid because mine was so fast they where out of the shot before the digital caught them LOL. I love my 35 mm best.

What WONDERFUL photos. I agree, a regular camera is so much better. I have such a hard time with blurry pics on our digital. You have some classic photos here. Thanks for sharing them. It looks like a beautiful and relaxing family time.

I love looking at others photos! I'd have to say my favorite is the one with your ds and the shoes. Not that I like seeing your son have a meltdown, more the shoes I think. That is just so sweet!

The thoughts and reflections of a mom who loves being at home, and is doing all she has ever desired in her life..... Really... I love my life that much!

"And all thy sons shall be taught of the Lord, and great shall be the peace of thy sons.
In righteousness shall thou be established."
Is 54:13-14
