about me
Welcome to my brain-notebook! I am a 17 yr-old Christian girl who loves being at home and serving her family. I am interested in homemaking, homeschooling, illustrating children's books, drawing, painting, writing, singing, playing the piano, crocheting, working/playing outside, and enjoying life to its fullest. I love studying History, art, music, biology, and, well. . . everything! Some of my long-term goals are becoming a godly woman, getting married and raising a godly family, illustrating children's books, and maybe even writing a few books! I hope you enjoy your visit at my blog!

"For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory." - Colossians 3:3-4

An afternoon alone and what happens?

While Mom and Emily went to the store, I decided to use my wee bit of knowledge in Photoshop to have some fun. This is what I came up with (both paintings are by Carl Holose):

Don't you just love those afternoons? Sometimes I get really lonely and then I can't do anything but try to sleep. Yeah, THOSE kinds of days are extremely wanting.
Very cute pictures! I love the font...:)

Have you ever read 'A Man Called Thursday' by GK Chsterton?

Those are really neat, great job! I like the font!

Thanks! I'm so glad to hear you like my template and my avatar!

My Uncle's property is neat, and is much bigger than our lot. ;-)

RYC: Yep, an MP4 player plays not only songs but videos too. Rather lame I think because you have to upload them on there yourself and why in the world would you want to watch a movie over and over again?

Bummer, I've been skateboarding for a few weeks and I'm already stereotyped. I think I'm going to have to become an emo and break out of the mold. Lol. Just kidding.

I hope I don't fall into really negative stereotypes. ;)

Eric

Well done Bre!
I can do something like that on our computer, but I can't figure out how to get it to the blog. Oh well, someday I'll get there. These are beautiful! The verses you picked are wonderful and go well with the pictures. :)
Have a blessed day!
Marie :)

Those are pretty. :-)
In reply to your comment, yes, I'm amazed too at God's beautiful creation, and how He loves us and wants us to enjoy it. It's so awesome.

Well, if you like to cook, I just posted my monthly recipe on my blog. I'm going to try to get a "real" entry up soon! :-)

Hope you're having a good week!
~Ashley

questions

WoW! These are neat!
I as wondering if you wouldn't mind me asking you a question. Have you ever transferred any of your drawings into your computer (with good quality)? I have a project I am working on and need to get my creations for a lapbook into the computer. I fear scanning will not keep their quality. I really want to use my drawn creations and do not want to start over and try to draw within the computer. I don't mind touching up what I already hand-drew but don't know how to go about any of this. So I have learned to ask those that are knowledgeable in these areas I don't know about. If you don't mind answering, I would appreciate it very much. I do understand busy schedules, though if you can not.
Also- have you ever drawn into the computer using one of those digital tablets?
Thanks again for any help you may be willing to share with me!
