Dear Daddy,
I can't tell you how much I love you. You are such a great man and I am honored to claim you as my father.
Everything you do for me is out of love for me and desiring the best for my life. From the spankings and generous gifts, to the long talks and kind words; you've done so much for me!
Thank you for reading the Bible and praying with us every day. Thank you for supporting Mom in our home education, and stopping at nothing to give us the best. It means more than you know.
Thank you for asking me to do things for you and with you, going camping, fixing your salad, moving furniture - I love being a part of your life, and you a part of mine.
Thank you for making me form good habits, even when it seems I'll never get it.
Do you know what I just love? When we're sitting in the living room, I'm drawing or reading, and you're reading a deep theological book. And when you come across something beautiful or profound, you'll share it with me so we can learn and enjoy it together. Thank you for helping me pursue a relationship with Christ.
I also want to thank you for things that may seem small. Like bringing home donuts, going on bike rides, and taking us to the ice cream shop.
You have always encouraged me in my interests and gifts, even when I want to head one way and need to go another. Thanks for keeping me on course and in the center of God's will for my life.
Your prayers for me, those I've heard and those I've never heard, have been a blessing in my life. God is so good. Never stop praying.
You'll always be my Daddy.
Love always,
-Breezy

You've washed our dirty dishes after the thousands of meals you've cooked...
...taught us how to crochet, embroider, and work with our hands...
...wash hundreds of loads of our dirty laundry...
...you have braved the fiercest summer heat hanging the laundry out to dry...
...and have spent weeks and weeks of your life reading out loud to us...
...and have raised two daughters, inspiring in us a life purpose of serving our Creator and a desire to raise godly families of our own.
You have left us a legacy.
I LOVE YOU MOM!!!
-Breezy
Happy Birthday tooo Youuuuuuuuuu!
Happy Birthday tooo Youuuuuuuuuu!
Happy Birthday Deeeer Emileeeeeee!
Happy Birthday tooo Youuuuuuuuuu!
I LOVE YOU EMILY ROSE! You are da' best sissy ever! And even when we bug each other and get on each other's nerves, and squeeze the daylights out of each other, and talk too loud, and talk until 2am, and sing at the top of our lungs, and share candy, and make up duets, and critique each other's work, and keep each other warm, and tickle till we scream, and steal each other's library books, and do each other's chores. . . Is it any wonder we love each other so much?
But I Love you so! And I want to eat your cake! And I know you'll like everything you're getting!
So, without further adooo, on with the party!
Lets start with some cake! I know your favorite cake is the kind with the pink and blue swirls (which unfortunately has been discontinued) but I found some really cute cakes anyway.

I know she'll like this one! And a pirate's chest full of treasure! And even a little campout cake!
Cake for everyone! Dig in! ohhhhhhh yum - my mouth is just full of all this cake - here, you try some. Yummm, ohhhhhhh, yum! Look at you, you've got cake all over your face! Oh, huh? I guess I do, too!
Oh dear, now we're all stuffed. Let's move on to presents!
I got you a gift card to your favorite store! Apple!
Annnnddd, a little extra surprise!

Ta - daaa! A MacBook Pro!
And, one more little extra surprise...

...a nice little case for your MacBook!
Now, I know you're busy sewing aprons today, and you think some of the traditional birthday party games are, well, maybe a tad silly. So, we'll play a board game later with Maggie, stuff ourselves with pizza, and watch some chick-flicks!
So lets hear it for Emily one last time, now:
Happy Birthday tooo Youuuuuuuuuu!
Happy Birthday tooo Youuuuuuuuuu!
Happy Birthday, deeeer Emileeeeeee!
Happy Birthday tooo Youuuuuuuuuu!
We love ya, girly! Now, everyone go to her blog, leave a comment and wish her a happy 15th birthday!!!!!!!!!!!
They say for a child of the Heavenly Father to die is like one peacefully falling asleep, only to awaken the next morning in the beautiful light of Christ's glory. Such a simple journey was taken by my Grandma Jenny last night. My father's mother had been having some health problems for several months, and her possibly rapid departure had been expected. She passed very peacefully without pain and is now singing praises with the angels in heaven!

This picture was taken in May, 2005, when Grandma Jenny and her husband, my Grandpa Phil, gave me a hope chest for my 14th birthday.
"What shall I render to the Lord for all His benefits to me? I shall lift up the cup of salvation and call upon the name of the Lord. I shall pay my vows to the Lord, Oh may it be in the presence of all His people. Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his godly ones." -Psalm 116:12-15
A beautiful example of patience and grace, she will always be held as not only a sweet memory, but a source of inspiring strength.
"Praise the Lord, all nations; laud Him, all peoples! For His lovingkindness is great toward us, and the truth of the Lord is everlasting. Praise the Lord!" -Psalm117
