"Eyes" for Him!

"Eyes" for Him!

Tuesday, December 19, 2006 - Elisabeth's Christmas Poem

Thanksgiving is past and Christmas is near.

The stores are all decked in their holiday cheer.

Its time to be thinking of Christmas and gifts,

And holly and pudding, for spirits to lift.

The turkey is dressed, the pies are all done,

The children are waiting around for the fun.

The mantle is decked with holly and spruce,

And we are cooking the Christmas goose.

The evergreen tree has abundance of lights,

With everything else, there are quite a few sights.

With smells from the kitchen and gifts by the tree,

There's lots of excitement for you and for me.

But let's not forget the reason we're here,

Not only to celebrate holiday cheer;

But to remember the dear Savior's birth.

On that sweet night that He came to earth.
