THEME

Awhile back Mother Dear received a question on what snack foods to buy for homeschooling families, on the go or at home, and she inspired this week’s theme. There are so many different kinds of snack foods, store-bought and homemade, and I would like to invite you to share what snack foods your family usually snacks on throughout the week. You’re welcome to make season lists too. I know there are different meals we eat during the colder seasons than we do in the warmer ones, and I imagine there are also seasonal snack foods as well.

Week #4 Meme

THEME

Planning your homeschool is a lot of fun, especially if you’re going to be trying something new. Just like finding a shiny new penny you’re excited to use it. Mother Dear has been planning some new curriculum for us, and I am plenty excited to get started on it. This week I hope you’ll share something new you’re using, why you’ve decided to use it, and if you have used it how you like it. Make sure to include the publishing information and where you got it from so others can look into if they like.

ßeing I’ve gotten a wonderful and spiritually uplifting teenager. I would have to say that I enjoy the Bible lesson were doing. Following God Character Series II,  Life Principles from the Woman of the Bible "Book 1". The way the lessons are and the area that it strikes such wonderful lessons for our daughter. Life examples to focus upon, learning that you can’t change the past. Focus on the present through Gods directions and he will guide you. How to make those choices through the daily lessons that are wonderful place together. I see us going to Book 2 and can’t wait to have fun learning something new.

Week #3  Routines

THEME

I hope last week’s theme helped you get a bigger view and maybe some ideas about different ways to homeschool or curriculum. There is so much to share and so I hope this helped, especially the new homeschoolers, narrow things down a bit. I am sure some of you are still getting into your homeschool routines. I know some people are very routine oriented while others may be more “day-by-day”, and it all depends on your family and what works best for your life-style. This week please post what your planned homeschool routine is. The theme banner should give you some ideas on how to do that. I had fun making that and adding in real info (except for the times! lol).

When you’re done posting your routines please share your prayers for this school year, and then sign the linky so others can visit.

Were still waiting for the kids baseball and softball schedules to start them with Tae Kwon Do. My Prayers are for the year to stay with in our mission of our schedule. To apply our principle’s toward the key goal of our school year. Striving for a better and a more prosper year. We pray that each and everyone will to.

This week’s theme is about sharing your 2008-09 homeschool agendas and plans. You’ve been preparing your plans for sometime and you’re ready to go. Or you’re still in the planning-stage and need some inspiration or tips on what to use. Because many use different curriculum and methods there is always something new to be gleaned from other homeschoolers. It’s always fun and interesting to see what other’s are using and the WWWWH as Robin Sampson suggests. So this week I hope you will share what you’re doing this year for your homeschool agenda. Share the different curriculum you’re using. You can also include what age/grade you’re using it for, how long you’ve been using it, and why you like it.

Please share a Bible verse that has encouraged you or inspired you during this planning-process, and how.

Proverbs 3:6  In all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths.

How this verse lead me: During my walk on should I homeschool the girls. This one verse kept coming back to me. I was lead in so many different ways, how can I do this, how about the social issues, is this what she really needed. I’m I going to be able to handle this? These were questions crossing my mind & kept coming up. It was time I put it 150% into the Lords hand and let him show me. He will guide me for I had faith in that. I let this verse show me my path, I’m happy that I did it. I know the kids enjoy this too, being homeschooled and enjoying life.

Week 1 Meme

The first theme begins today, August 20th, 2008. This week, we want to hear about YOU. The author behind the words. The Momma behind all the homeschooling kiddos. Just write up something about you, your family, and your home. How long you’ve been homeschooling and why you decided to homeschool. It doesn’t have to be anything lengthy at all, but we’d love to hear it! You might include a family photo too!

Morning I’m Debbie, homeschooling mom to 3 kids. Only 1 whom is homeschooling now. Our youngest goes to a special school for him. Were very active family, sports play a big role in our lives. We enjoy softball, baseball, Tae Kwon Do. Being active is something that we choose to do with our lives. I also work a 30 hour work week. So, a lot of my time is spent with the kids and taking care of our home. I hop on the computer when I have a chance.
We’ve been schooling our children for 9 years the oldest has completed school and on her own now. It’s just the yongest daughter and son now at home. We decided to school our youngest cause she was bored with the Public School. Meaning, she was to active for them. Medication was the term and the way to modifie her life with school. She came out of school the following year, cause I couldn’t handle have her medicated. This was a big problem to me being I knew how she really was. She has turned into a wonderful young lady and enjoys being in sports, keeping her life busy between Church & Softball.
Check out our prior post with  photo of our youngest daughter.
