The Mystery at Blake Hotel Chapter 4.....Emma?
"What are we going to do!" exclaimed Jan. Her tom boyish side was fading. "Jan, calm down. She might have just gone exploring somewhere and forgot to tell us where she was going." I somewhat corrected her.
"Nicole, " Kile said, giving me that "Really?" / "You're Crazy" look. "You're right, you're right! " I shouted, "That is so not Emma."
"Ok, now what?" Kile looked over at me. "Don't look at me! I don't know what to do."  "Maybe we should call the police." Jan's side was still fading. The sentence "Time for Dinner." permeated up and down the hall.
It had been an hour, or two, no one could tell. But Emma was still nowhere to be found. We kept it a secret because we didn't want anyone to worry. We were all sitting around thinking when suddenly all the lights went off. I screamed. Kile yelled "Whoa! " Jan was as quiet as a mouse. Mrs.Lay ( our family friend) walked into the room."Are you kids alright?" "We're good, but it would be nice if you could turn the lights back on." "The lights went off? Mrs.Lay questioned, "The lights in the kitchen didn't go off. The light bulb must have gone out,but I just replaced it yesterday...O well."
After Mrs.Lay replaced the light bulb we sat down and started to think again. O few minutes later, a light bulb went off in my head. "Kile, where's the piece of paper?" I quickly asked him. "Right here on the des..." He turned around. It Was GONE! "Where in the world..." he started. Suddenly, there was a loud noise outside in the bushes. It sounded like muffled screams. Jan slowly opened the window. We all looked down and gasped. "Emma?!"
