We stopped using regular deodorants years ago because they contain ingredients such as aluminum, propylene glycol, parabens, etc.  One product dh has been pleased with is Burt's Bees herbal deodorant

The product seems to have undergone a change in formulation and I'm guessing it was about the time the company sold out to Clorox  The ingredient list is still the same, but the scent/fragrance (in my opinion) is not.  *I* do not care for the new formulation ... dh is okay with it.  The container size also changed ... it went from 6oz. to 4oz., but the price (roughly $7.99) stayed the same.

Nonetheless, this is still worth giving a try if you are looking for a natural deodorant option.  It's available in natural food markets and through a variety of online sources.

My other review from today can be found here.

I'm so glad you guys are all OK. As for the Burt's Bee stuff, thanks for the review! Many of the homeschoolers around my area, are big on 'green' products but I hadn't heard of this one yet.

I really like Burts Bees products, though I haven't tried the deodorant. I don't like that the amount of product went down while the price stayed the same!

Sorry for the second comment. The screen went blank and I didn't think it had posted.

I am loving your blog. Anyway, we have found those deodorant stones ( crystals maybe?) work really well and last almost forever.
