We want to welcome you to our Valentine’s Day Skate at the Raleigh IcePlex!
When: Tuesday, February 8th and 22nd.
Time: 9:30am – 3pm 5.5 hours of skating for only $3 !!
FREE SKATE RENTAL
THE BIG SKATES ARE NOW THE 2ND AND 4TH TUESDAYS OF THE MONTH!
However, we are there every Tuesday from 9:30 – 3 for only $3.
Fun and games on the ice & door prizes.
Wear the color red!
If you don’t skate, you don’t have to pay to enter!
The lobby is kept at a comfortable 70 degrees and we have free Wifi.

We’re the only Homeschool Skate School in the area that is run by a homeschool mom with over 11 years experience (in homeschooling and skating)!
Tuesdays from 1-2 Starting on 3/1
1) 8, 1/2 hour skating lessons and 8, 1/2 hour practice ice sessions.
2) ALL public sessions, any day and any time, are FREE for all students.(that’ s a deal! Just walk in the door any day or time there is a public session and you skate at no cost!)
3) Teaching tots to adults, all levels!
4) Lessons start Tuesday, March 1st.
ONLY $99 AND SIBLINGS ARE ONLY $80

Rainbow Lanes personnel and the Organizers present reserve the right to ask anyone being unruly to leave the premises.
Unlimited access to bowling, billiards, Himalaya and shoe rental does not begin until the lock-in officially begins. Arrival between 12 am and 1:00 am is for drop-off convenience and registration. You may bring board games or cards to play for free during this time.
Other activities at Rainbow Lanes prior to official start time are at your expense.
Please make copies of the registration form and fill out (1) ONE for each person attending the Lock-In.

NC Theater offers student preview nights for their shows – discounted
tickets for educators and students on the Friday nights before the shows
open.
The 2011 season dates are:
Friday, February 11 – The Producers
Friday, May 6 – Hello, Dolly!
Friday, July 22 – Hairspray
Friday, October 21 – Evita
Season tickets have been on sale for a few weeks; individual show
tickets are available as of Nov 29 for $15 per ticket (educator or
student).

A free outdoor evening concert on the Capitol grounds will showcase North Carolinas diverse music and dance traditions on Saturday, Aug.14. The concert begins at 6:30 p.m. on the south plaza.
Visitors are encouraged to have some cash on hand, as there will be food, art, and CDs for sale during the 2nd Saturdays event. Throughout the evening, visitors can browse at the booths of local artists who will be selling their crafts around the stage area. The event is one of the North Carolina Department of Cultural Resources (www.ncculture.com) 2nd Saturdays events this summer that bring together arts, history and authentic North Carolina culture.

The North Carolina Symphony is enlisting college and high school-age volunteers to help promote its upcoming classical and pops seasons. Students in Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill and the surrounding North Carolina communities who love music and want to have fun with friends while helping out the Symphony can volunteer for two hours or more and receive the opportunity to experience the brilliance of a North Carolina Symphony concert

Photographer Donn Young will lead a workshop at 1 p.m. in the historic Senate Chamber. The workshop will focus on the relationship between art, history and culture using contemporary and historic images of the Capitol as examples.
