Some updates

Hey everybody! First of all, thanks for all the people who just commented on my blog. It was really sweet to open my inbox and find five messages that all said, "A comment has been posted..." Thanks!!!

Well, some of you may have noticed all the "updating" and "personalizing" I've been doing lately. I have my random quote of the day up there, as well as all the quizzes I did (if you want to learn about me, that's the place...)  which are maybe too many. Ha ha.

I also added an unruly list of my favorite books and  movies, and the books I'm reading right now. Which I guess I already had, didn't I. And I just added my guestbook, so PLEASE sign it...it's slightly forlorn right now, with only me as it's sole occupant.

Well...what's been happening here. Hm, the bizarrest thing happened the other day. I guess that my "old flame" (lol) Googled his name. Just so happens he was one of the dedacees of my book, "Dawn of A New Day". Well, apparently it was a bit of a shock, 'specially since we haven't "spoken" in over two years, and now he's pretty annoyed. I think it's cheesy. If you Google the name, "Jordan O'baya" the link to my book will be right there at the top. Weird, huh?

Tonight I'm cooking dinner. We're having Tuna Pasta Primavera from the Five Ingredient- Fifteen Minute cookbook. It sure looks good! And of course, the recipe, combined with my cooking will create a masterpiece your mouth will water over. (Sorry, I guess that's a little boastful...) I have to start in exactly 54 minutes, so that it can be done with in time for Adam's boy scouts. What else...

Oh, I'd like to ask if you would please pray for my left knee. I have no idea what's going on with my whole skeletal system right now, but it's being a pain. Literally. My mothers brilliant opinion is that it's because I haven't been stretching before and after I dance...ha ha, guilty. Sorry, but I hate to stretch. So her idea is that I've been damaging my knee, and it's now catching up with me. But I'd appreciate it if you'd pray for it anyways.

I read a really good thinking book a few books ago. I'd recommend it, but I do have to warn you, there is quite a bit of language, and some guy/girl stuff that is totally not good. The part that I appreciated was the theme of prejudice. This guy, Sam, is an Arab. And he is the "victim" of hate crime going on at the mall where he works. He suspects a fella nicknamed Hog, of the crimes, but it turns out that his suspicion was wrong. And after Hog commits a graphic suicide, he realizes that while he was assuming Hog was the crime person-dude-thingy, he was being prejudiced against Hog the Redneck. It was quite sad. But Sam also had a talk with Roberta (the main character) about how the White man is always prevailant. It's sad, but true. It's something that's been bugging me for a while now. I mean, when was the colored man ever the powerful one? Sure, many colored civilizations have had power, but none of them have had the power of say, Rome, the British Empire, and America. Just one of my many thoughts, I guess.

Well, I guess I'd better go. PLEASE keep commenting!!!
