pictures of the chaos

You have heard it said that a picture paints a thousand words, so I will simply post the ones we took and let them speak for themselves.

this first picture was AFTER I was going to take photographic evidence, so it got worse before it got better (just to know)

Can anyone else see what some of these bags are labelled?  One is "stuff" and another is "random" ... does this give me licence to "stuff" as many "random" items I find laying out on the floor into said bags and, I dunno ... "bag" them for good?  At least they wouldn't find themselves back on these floors.  Boys, boys, boys, boys, boys.

Jun. 6, 2007 - thank you

that was a lovely way to start my day. Of course you do realize, there will be women all over blogdom for whom that is a daily reality. My favourite was the lack of blankets on one of the boys beds. (I'm guessing son #2?) Nearly every morning I hear from daughter #3 "I can't make my bed. All the blankets are on the floor".....I usually say "case in point" or something equally snarky.

Eerily similar to what my boys' room has looked like many times. How long did it take them to clean it?

Blessings,

I am especially fond of the lego murals used to decorate the floor, very artistic. My son # 2 likes to say "I can't find any kleenex." Maybe he could look on the floor where a new carpet has formed with all the ones he has already used.....

Okay, Onfire, you and I are going to have to have a talk. These are not the photos of a messy room. The piles are NEAT piles. Organized piles, even. And I can see a nicely cleaned floor showing underneath the neat, organized piles. I can see that there is desktop showing on the desk (not normal for a messy boys' room). The neatly labeled bags are actually stacked together. The clothing is stacked together, the legos are stacked together... you get my drift.

This, madam, is what I hope my kids' room will look like after they get done cleaning it. (Assuming that happens sometime.)

*Sigh*

What did you have to bribe them with??

I didn't even notice, my goodness there are actual CLOTHES in the laundry hamper.

You and I obviously have very different ideas about the meaning of the word "disaster". ;)

LOL-well, you can see some of the floor, at least! I only have 1 boy, but he makes most of the messes in our house.
I LOVE your new garden bed-very creative! Will you be putting in more of them? And using more bed frames? Holly

LOL I have never seen so many Legos--not even in a toy store!

And yes--stuff as many random items into the bag--makes sense to me LOL
