bring on the rain ...
|
yesterday I remarked to my husband "I don't think I have ever eaten thanksgiving dinner in a tank top before" and I was, apparantly, right. the high peaked at 31 Celcius and, let me tell you, we had both air conditioners at full blast to be able to endure it in this old house of ours. she may be three bricks thick, but when the temperature is in the 90's for too many days, the heat begins to seep through the cracks and you feel it. yesterday's high broke the record set back in '77 ... and I probably had a tank top on that day too but I don't remember a whole lot about being 6.
no wonder I took a three hour nap on saturday.
so, it's back to the same old, same old today, with the addition of rehearsals tonight for Rumplestiltskin. this time my boys are acting with me, and neal is going to help paint the sets. we will be out three nights a week on top of basketball lessons once a week and french twice a week. enrichment classes on monday mornings and before you know it, we will be celebrating christmas ...
and there is NO WAY I will still be wearing a tank top then.

... if you had Thanksgiving at a sensible time of year like the end of November then you could be wearing your jeans and sweaters and wool socks!
We missed you this weekend.

What is a celcius? Why do Canadians even celebrate Thanksgiving? How come OU sounds like OOOOO when a Canadian says it?
These are things I think about when I am home alone. I am totally kidding!
I just thought I would give you a Halo update. I now have all three versions and didn't pay a penny for them. Andrea has told me about Dare2Share mentioning that the games may have some loose biblical theme. The jury is still out, though. I only like the team modes with the kids. It is like capture the flag or king of the hill type stuff. I still don't have enough into the story mode to know more than the basics, so the kids definitely aren't playing without me playing with them.

I forgot to mention the main reason I was going to comment. Did you ever watch Classic Muppet Theater? They do a version of Rumplestiltskin. Very funny.
