Ok so ... We have decided to "make" christmas for everyone this year. We are also keeping a journal of EVERYTHING we do this Holiday season. I want the kids to understand that christmas does not begin or end with the tearing of the wrapping paper on Christmas morn and end with the wraping paper going in the trash. So far we have Nov. 23rd - Tree Lighting and Reindeer Reception... Downtown Anchorage. Nov. 24th - Dug out Christmas Decorations Nov. 25th Church/ Christmas shopping for materials. Nov 26th Decorate Tree Nov. 27th Watched Charlie Brown christmas with family. Talked with kids about Luke's narrative. |

We had a nice Thanks Giving. It is not how I remember Thanks Giving being as a child though. My husband bless his heart had to work, so that didn't strat the day off great. I spent all day tring to make 3 pies that I found out I was not prepared for, so the blueberry pie turned into cheese cake with blueberry's I did manage to get the pecan and pumkin done. My mother in law made the rest of dinner.. she wouldn't let me do anything I know she means well and she was trying to not have me stressed out but I LOVE to cook so it was more of a punishment than a treat. she does an excelent job. When we all sat down to eat My husband asked 3 times for everyone to stop so we could bless the meal. Finnaly he got loud enough everyone stoped and he said ok lets say the blessing, and everyone give 3 things besides their family that they are thankful for... Well with that my MIL said no we aren't going to do that just say a blessing Son if you want and lets eat we all know we are thankful that is why we are here. My poor husband.. he tries sooo hard. He is such an awsome man. His balloon poped, Our son said no memaw its good we need to thank God so HE knows why we are here... Out of the mouths of babes... I'm not sure who I was more proud of my son or my husband. Two men who love God. So my Husband and my son prayed.. we did not go around the table and say what we were thankfull for... but It is my prayer that by next year my mother in law ,my brother in law and his family will both understand the God we were all thanking today. To all of you.. I hope you know why you were thankfull today.. I am thankfull for the oppertunity God has given my family to homeschool, The desire in my husband's and my hearts to move to a place of peace away from the trappings of the world, and for bringing such wonderful new friends into my life this last year.
