Please don’t believe the absolutely rediculous news reports being made right now. I can’t even believe how much propaganda is being made up and reported as true in these reports being issued by the Deputy Minister of Liberia. The real story can be found right HERE.
It has come to my attention that this blog had found its way into some strange listings where liberian adoption blogs were listed by agency and by our last names. . . I had our children’s names on here and would prefer that information not be "highly" available to just anyone. . . If you are really interested in reading more about our journey, please email me and tell me who you are and I would be happy to email you or add you as a reader to this blog. Otherwise, please check out my new blog (no names listed!) HERE
I don’t even know if anyone ever checks this blog anymore since I haven’t posted for almost 9 months! However, I am happy to announce that I am going to *try* to blog once again on family life, adoption, homeschooling, homemaking, etc. . HERE at my new blogFeel free to check it out!
11 days and counting. . . we will soon be moving our family of 6 halfway across the country. This, coupled with the fact that our children have been home for less than a month, might explain why my bloggings are few and far between these days. I hope to begin anew once we are settled in our new community and home.
For those who are wondering how things are going – I am happy to report that all of the adjustments have been rather smooth and, other than being much more tired at the end of each day, I am feeling so blessed by the way the Lord has grown our family through this adventure of adoption. I recently emailed a friend about our children’s personalities (at least, what we can tell so far):
The kids are GREAT! It has been so amazing to see just how they "fit" into our family!
"Big J" (7) is just 8 months younger than "Mr. Z" (will be 8 in August) and is a very sweet kid. He has a bit of a melancholy personality but can be a big helper and very loveable when he is not obsessing over not getting what he thinks he is entitled to!
"Mo" is 5 1/2 and is ALL boy! He goes at life at about 100 miles an hour and wants to touch everything on the way by! He is really fun and has TONS of energy. He loves his daddy and is a HUGE helper to momma!
"Little Missy" is a very funny almost 4 year old. She is the boss of her brothers (we are working on that. . . ) and can be sort of moody. Most of the time she is a smiling, laughing preschooler who wants to be with mama but she loves to pout when things don’t go her way!
"Mr. Z" is doing great! He has been a big help and is trying to figure out just how to get along with everyone when they are not doing things the way he thinks they need to be done. Mostly, he has been
wonderful and is really working to be a good big brother.
Obviously, there are adjustments and things are trying at times, but we are blessed by our children and are loving every minute that the Lord gives us with them!
