The Road Less Traveled

My oldest will be singing "The Battle Is Not Ours" (Veggie Tales, the Esther episode) for our local homeschool graduation this year.  He has been practicing every day, even playing it on the piano!  Here, he sings and plays it on the toy keyboard: Not to be outdone, little brother has tried to learn the song and sings his own version of it regularly.  He is shown here playing random notes on his toy keyboard and singing what he can remember: Of course, any time his younger brother tries to imitate him, my seven-year-old absolutely must jump in to coach him: OK, now they're just being silly: Often, my oldest can be seen wandering around the house with his new Veggie Tales songbook.  Not content to learn only his performance material, he has taken it upon himself to learn a few others from the book.  His favorite, which he sings every day now in duet with his brother, is "Haman's Song".  When he is not performing that one, he *sings* "Salesmunz Rap" (from the Madame Blueberry episode).  As a matter of fact, he is doing it right now!
