Hello dear Ones,

Today it reached 103 on my porch! I was actually in my air conditioned RV looking out the window. I'm sure I was cooler than alot of people as I have my ac set at 60 degrees 24/7. Hubby calls our place "the Meat Locker"....how rude!

Today there was some excitement around here. Almost tragic excitement. While swimming with my daughter and her 3 children, my 17 month old granddaughter came closer than I'm comfortable with to drowning. I was in the deep end of the pool, she was in the shallow end, in her "baby floatie" and her mom was in the area of the 5 foot mark, when she tried to get to mommy and fell out of her floatie. It took us almost 10 seconds to get to her and when we pulled her up her little eyes were closed and she was making NO noise. My daughter started hitting her back when all of a sudden, she spit out about a cup of water and started crying. She gagged some more, spit some more and after a few minutes, was ok. Tonight before they headed back to Oregon, she was back to her old self. Being cute, flirting, screaming at her brothers, kissing Papa and me. But it's a scare I'll NEVER forget. It took almost an hour to calm down Mommy and stop her crying. God blessed us today. We didn't loose Jessi. Lesson learned.

Then our neighbor in # 3 wasn't seen all day, so another neighbor, Eli came over and asked me if I'd go over and check on him. We did, and after several minutes of banging on his RV, he feebly called out and said he needed help. We were able to get the amulance and fire dept. over very quickly. He was taken to the hospital and is ok as I write this. God had his hands full today! We are blessed SO much and alot of us aren't even aware of it. Sadly, some don't care.

Except for the heat, close call with Jessi and Terry having to go to the hospital, it wasn't too bad of a day. Praying that your day went smoother than mine...be blessed. Life on my porch is STILL good and very blessed by God.
