Hi Everyone!
Well, as I was reminded recently, it's time to update and STOP WHINNING! Thank you Sister Shirley for the swift kick in the behind to get me going again! I need that from time to time.
It's been very nice here on the porch. Frank put an automatic sprinkler set-up on our 4 sprinklers in the lawn. So now, every night at about 8:30, he and I go out and sit on the porch and watch the sprinklers come on. We then sit and talk and watch the lawn get watered for the hour it's set on. Makes the porch and our time together, very special. We had bought one of those "lawn art" sprinklers...all copper with a dragonfly in the center ring. It's so pretty when it's off and even prettier when it's on.
Thomas is doing very well. He has some new friends, but still misses Bryan. Carmella, our neighbor who lived sort of behind where Suzy was living, is spending alot more tiime at home now. She had #19 problems also. Anyway, she's expecting a baby and is SO cute! Her 9 yr. old daughter, Fallon is just crazy about being a big sister, and little cousin Seth wants a new baby very soon! They are just adorable and have started calling Frank and I "Grandma and PaPa". I love being a Grandma, so as you can guess...I'm happy as can be!
I hear from my Suzy almost every day. This makes my heart smile and the rest of me happy. I miss our talks, but we're both going about doing for our Master, so things are working out. She'll always be in my heart and forever my Sister. God is good and always does what is best for us...always!!!
Well folks, that's about all that's going on, on the porch. It's still pretty hot, but it is July in Redding as Frank reminds me alot. So I drink gallons of "fence post" tea and stay indoors until it cools off. Right now we're looking to buy another RV. We need a bigger one. Will keep you all posted.
Be blessed dear friends...life on the porch is GREAT! |
Jul. 23, 2008 - Ahhhh...the sprinklers...
Hearing about the sprinklers makes me homesick. Pood misses chasing Stinky and shaking off the sprinkler drops. I am happy to hear you have more grandkids to enjoy! What are you doing now???
