Mom's friend and Fair

Date: Saturday, August 12, 2006 | Category: Quick Stuff

One of Mom's oldest (as in known the longest...I have no idea as to her age) online friends came today! :D She and her husband are here right now...and they aren't axe murderers! (That's a joke...that all "internet people" are axe murderers. Mom was going to put the axe out on the front porch, but she forgot.)

Tomorrow we're going to play at the fair...from 1-2 and 6-7...and also sometime Monday. :D

Funny picture

Date: Tuesday, August 8, 2006 | Category: Quick Stuff

I must say, one of the funniest pictures I've seen lately is Valerie's desktop, an Eric special, featuring none other than Eric himself (of course). Check it out! (It's kind of big...might take a while to load.) [http://allanne.com/images/albums/userpics/10001/me_and_my_car.png]

Oh, also, Joe posted some pictures on his blog, too, but these are more normal (surprisingly). [http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/joem]

It is not a good idea

Date: Sunday, July 30, 2006 | Category: Quick Stuff

It is not a good idea to touch the prongs of something while you plug it into the wall. I just did that and it isn't very pleasant.

It is also not a good idea to use a knife to pry things out of the wall. I have done that, too, and flipped a breaker, made a shower of sparks, and melted divits into the knife (which I still have, after ten years).

Have I have a Story for You!

Date: Sunday, July 23, 2006 | Category: Quick Stuff

Unfortunately, it just might have to wait until tomorrow. I'm writing this just in case I can't pound it off tonight. :)

Website

Date: Thursday, June 22, 2006 | Category: Quick Stuff

I changed the smilies on my site to little coffee mugs. I think my favorite is the mad one--he just looks so...mad! I think the starry-eyed one is cute, too. Ok, I like them all. :P So sue me.

A really stupid post

Date: Saturday, June 17, 2006 | Category: Quick Stuff

Don'tcha hate it when your mental train of thought becomes derailed? Me, too. I had a great blog post planned out, then it just...flew away. Too bad. How about something stupid instead? Great.

I downloaded Gimp the other day. It has some cool features, but overall, I still like PSP better. I don't like Gimp's saving procedure...took me longer to figure THAT out than it did to figure out how to fill something (which took me a few minutes). But I like some things about Gimp that PSP doesn't have, like keep transparency, and fill the layer. And the recent files showing a preview of what you last worked on.

Anyway...this is stupid and inane...goodbye.

Redneck Rendevous

Date: Sunday, May 28, 2006 | Category: Quick Stuff

There's a "Redneck Rendevous" coming to the Metra soon. What I wonder is, how many cars on jacks will they bring? Will they import tall weeds to stick around the tires? Will they have the guys on the catwalks make it rain to have 'em all rust?

=P
