My trip to the Birmingham Botanical Gardens

This is my first show and tell with Mrs. Mary.  My family went to the Birmingham Botanical Gardens last weekend and I got to make pictures.  Here's the indoor cactus garden:

This is the outdoor cactus garden:

I saw lots of different animals in the garden. Here is a lizard--you have to look closely to see it because it blends in.

In the Japanese garden we saw Koi and turtles.

We had lots of fun.

That looks like fun. Those cactus are huge! I like how the lizard blended in. I have seen koi fish before too. They are cool.

What a GREAT first S&T. When ever I see a Japanese garden I think of my dad. He loved them. He was actually trying to make our yard into some kind of Japanese garden. My dad wanted to have a pond under the bridge that he had made going from the driveway to the front door. He had planned to put the gold fish in the pond.

Thank you for joining

Wow, that looks like a really cool place to visit. I'm glad you gave me a 'heads up' on looking for the lizard in the picture - he was pretty well camoflaged!

Welcome to show & tell!! Hope to see you next week too!

Blessings,
Laurie

I enjoyed your pictures, Ash. I live in North Idaho about 3 hours from the Canadian border, so I seldom have the opportunity to see a cactus. Thank you for your picture.
