These are a bunch of blog entries I made in my journal.
POEMS:
FLY
What would it be like to fly,
Sweet and beautifull in the sky;
To soar like an eagle and fly around
And see all the people on the ground?
Then I would say, “Look at me!
I can sit on the branch of a tree!”
Then, they would line up all around,
But for now (sigh), I'm stuck on the ground.
Camp
My eyes are very bleary,
My neck is very stiff.
Im feeling very weary,
I feel I cannot think.
I cannot sleep a wink.
My poem is almost over;
My poem is almost done.
I really don't like writing…
This really wasn't fun.
Mother's Lap
A mother sat on her rocking chair
Humming while she rocked.
She rocked and rocked and rocked
While mending all the socks.
Her little girl came skipping in
And sat upon her lap.
Her mother rocked her gently
And she took a little nap.
Her mother watched her as she slept;
How peaceful she did look.
Then, her little boy came in
And handed her a book.
She sat the boy upon her lap
And read to him sweetly.
He, too, fell asleep and she closed the little book
She reached over to the side and put it on the nook.
Then sweet little Ian Josiah came in to give her a hug,
Then runs to get his blanket with his little stuffed bug.
And just when she thinks she has no room upon her comfy lap,
Little baby Noah woke up from his nap.
He wobbles into the room with a binky in his mouth
And she makes some room for him on her crowded lap…
THEN!!!!
The father walks into the room
Each step cheerfully.
Then Mother looks up at him
And smiles with glee.
” I'm very, very sorry Dear,
But I am afraid that there is no room for you.
Come back a different day.”
THANKSGIVING
The best thing about thanksgiving
Is the love shown all around;
Hearts filled with happiness and love.
And there are many, many things
In which thankfulness is found,
Not a one of them is not provided from ABOVE.
Kindred spirits join together
And share a joyful time,
Singing and having a good day.
God makes our hearts thankful
In ones such as mine,
and Is changing our lives everyday.
Vast are all the things that
I am thankful for,
I cannot even name them all.
Never will being thankful be a chore,
God can hear us when we call.
HAPPY HOPPING TOWN
There is a place I like to call
The Happy Hopping Town.
It's where all the little children
Like to hop around.
They hop when they are sleeping,
The hop when they're awake.
They hop until the earth begins
To tremble and to shake!
The BESTEST thing I like about
This little Happy Hopping Town
Is that they are always, always happy
There never is a frown!
And just when you think that
They're energy will run out,
All the little children begin to
Laugh and shout.
So listen to my advice
And listen very well:
There is something very important
To you I must tell.
If you ever go to this
Happy Hopping place,
You just might want to bring
Something extra for your face!
It is something that will help you
Get rid of all the sound
Of the Happy Hopping Children
Who like to scream and hop around!
And could you bring one extra
Because it is pretty tough
For a person like me
To find some EARMUFFS!
