Our First Reversal Baby

Yes! I WAS pregnant. Unfortuneately, the announcement loses something with that one little word: WAS. Almost as soon as we knew I was pregnant I began to realize something was not right. Thursday evening the end began and now I am fully in the process of miscarrying.
MARA SERENE
The name means bitter peace. It is amazing how I feel both.
I am sorry to see this little one go so soon, but I am joyful that we can, in fact, conceive. That is really good news.
God will take this pain and bring beauty from the ashes.
Just as when he takes a grain of pain and irritation in a clam shell and coats it with layers of tears to form a lovely pearl... So will the brief life and death of our little Mara Serene touch us with the kind of suffering that leads to hope in Christ.
Thank-you for rejoicing with me and thank-you for grieving with me. You are all such a blessing to me. I was feeling a bit sorry for myself early this morning and I thought how sweet it is that I am NOT alone. Thank-you friends.

Praying for your family! Mara Serene--What a fitting, beautiful and poignant name! Grieving with you, yet rejoicing that God gave this wee one to you, for though the days you held (her) within you were few, they were precious and of His doing.
Such a lovely post, and such a good reminder of his hand in the eternal through our temporal.

I am so sorry. I am sitting here crying after reading this. I know what that overwhelming, anxious feeling of wanting to get pregnant after a reversal is like, all too well. I can't imagine the emotions and sorrow you are going through. I pray that you will heal quickly, and that the Lord will allow you to get pregnant again really soon!
My prayers are with you friend!

this was such bittersweet news to hear. I have been praying for so long that your prayers would be answered and you would be able to conceive and was excited to see the beginning of your post. But then my heart broke as I realized what you said. I love the name you chose. My prayers continue to be with you. In Him, Brandi

That is exciting that you are able to conceive after the reversal. I am so sorry for your loss though.
We have had two reversal babies and I know what it is like to wonder will it work.
