Hey!

This was just a literature assignment…I call it my random love story

Her charming looks were deceiving.

Her deep blue eyes were misleading.

For, on the inside she felt nothing.

So, she continued searching.

He was handsome and his eyes were clear.

But, his heart was not sheer.

He, also, felt nothing at all;

That is, until he saw her at the ball.

He asked her to dance.

She replied with a "Yes".

They danced everywhere.

As if prancing on air.

The music ended.

They both appeared winded.

The looked at each other, then fell for each other.

And forever and ever, they were in love.©

Waiting

Wherefor art thou, Romeo?

Of that I have no clue.

But I will continue waiting

for you.

I keep waiting,

But wonder often how long it will take.

But I will not give my heart away,

For our sake.

When will you be here?

Will it be soon?

So many questions,

But I continue to wait for you.

Romeo, I continue to wait.

I promise to wait.

My heart continues to wait

for you.©

This world is like watercolor;

Only all the colors are black and white and grey.

The beautiful colors that you made in each of us

are beginning to fade.

Everyone is falling.

Falling for this game.

You keep calling,

But they continue to fade.

Everyone is blending in.

They can’t tell up from down.

People jumping into the peer pressure bin;

Coming out, none look sound.

This is a black-and-white world.

But I refuse to blend.

That’s why I only look to you, Lord.

Never to any of them. ©
