Have A Very Happy Birthday... Eric!
Happy Birthday, dear Eric. Today you are turning 11. 11 years you have blessed us... now it's time to say......

You are my very best friend... and you mean a lot to me. I very much appreciate the help you give me with things like doing barn chores, and taking Blondie out, and drying the dishes when I need you to. You are a very helpful little boy. You are growing to be such a "wonderful worker" as Mr. Wonka would say. I wish you the very best of birthdays, and hope your party is very much to your liking.
Now, we are having your birthday in a very nice *barn.* Yes, I know that is not a very, *very* good place for a party, with the goats maaing, and the chickens clucking and crowing. I thought that would be good country music for the party. :D Don't you think it is a good music choice? We are also having country dances here. There are lots of dances... and you must dance at least half of them... ok... I will let you off easy - 4 dances will do.
There is a table with all kinds of country foods - Hot dogs, hamburgers, cabbage salad, home fries, home-canned pickles. Plus all the deserts and goodies you are having - Cookies *all the kinds you want* cranberry fluff, brownies, and lots of your favourite goodies and treats. We have lots of nice summertime refreshments - Honey lemonade, iced tea... and lots of other great drinks. :) How does the party look? I hope you are enjoying it.
The presents have been set out on an old tractor. I know you like tractors, so I arranged to rent an old antique one from an antique dealer. It's an old green John Deer tractors. There are so many gifts, it's completely covered! I wrapped my gift in old-looking wrapping paper.
Ok.... now... you'll have to wait until your *actual In-Real-Life* party, which I now must end this entry about your birthday and go prepare for.

Also, are you enjoying the "Elsie Dinsmore" series from ALOF (A Life Of Faith)? Today I was reading parts of the latter ones - very good! Which ones are you up to?

Dear Miss Rachel,
It has been far too long since I have stopped by for tea and I apologize for that. But I thought I would let you know that I have been praying for you. My Mom recently bought some new hand-soap for our bathrooms and it's "Milk & Honey" scented. As you can guess, the name always reminds me of you, so when I wash my hands I pray for you.
