Judging Others

  "Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

The Parable of the Pharisee and the Tax Collector

To some who were confident of their own righteousness and looked down on everybody else, Jesus told this parable: "Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood up and prayed about himself: 'God, I thank you that I am not like other men -- robbers, evildoers, adulterers -- or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.'
  "But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, 'God, have mercy on me, a sinner.'
  "I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted."

Which one are you?

This thought came to me the other day. I felt like writing it out. Most people who turn away from church do it because Christians can be too judgemental (a lot of them are). I know so many people who are turned off to Christianity because the Christians they know are too caught up in pride and how 'good' they are. The Christians look down on them and are judgemental towards them. Dude that is not right!!! The Bible talks about this so many times. Accept others just as Jesus accepted you. We are all sinners. We have no right to say who is better than the other.
