Photobucket

Welcome to my little corner of the beach in Southern California. I am married to one amazing man who loves me with a heart of Christ and who has blessed me to be a stay-at-home homeschool mom of three wonderful blessings. My heart is for homeschool ministry and helping others through encouragement. I've been homeschooling since the beginning and love it more and more every day.

I began my journey in homeschooling based on Bible scriptures found in Deuteronomy chapter 6:6-12 Homeschooling With Encouragement is dedicated to encourage the homeschool mom. I am the owner of a Yahoo group, monthly newsletter, two homeschool blogs, and the Weblink Education website.

Please take your time and thumb through my past postings as well as the Ministry links sponsored on this blog.

Father's Day

The Perfect Gift!

Ever since my oldest was born, my husband has begged and asked for a bike trailor.  I've got to admit that I haven't tried too hard to buy one - they scare me!  However, this Father's Day weekend a friend of his came by and handed my husband this present.  There was no time wasted before he scooped my daughter up and put her inside for a ride.

Of course, my youngest son who is on "rest" for the next couple of weeks, also launched himself into the trailor.  He's a little big but he enjoyed himself.  Mostly, it entertained his sister being in there with her.   When the heat of the day finally passed, "daddy" snuck the boys off to the golfing range for a few swings.  They absolutely loved it!  We had a great little weekend.

My husband smiled ear to ear doing what he loved most - spending time with his children.  Crazy as it sounds, I'm not sure if this weekend was more about the kids or dad.  lol.  I'm so thankful for a husband who loves his babies as much as I do!

We had one of these bike trailors at one point. I was nervous about it too until my husband showed me that if the bike turns over, the trailor does not....that's how our's worked anyway. MUCH better than those back of the bike seats, now THOSE are scary! We had a combo kids/father's day too....the best!

I tried to access my blog through my RSS feed but it wouldn't pick up all the posts for easy copying....so I copied it one entry at a time :( and pasted it into Microsoft Word. Very time consuming, but thankfully I have them now.

I thought this was so sweet. My dh loves to be with the kids too, and it really warms my heart that he chooses spending time with us as what he really wants to do when he has a choice. :-)

Sorry I am just now getting around to reading your blog but son and I have been really swamped with floor fixing and plucking bull thistles out of the field. That looks like a really cool present. I am like you, scary, but it is cool.
