Yes! Can you believe that three weeks later a cast goes on my little guys ankle? It's all from that darn trailor (it's not even ours)!!! I guess because my baby's quad muscle was so injured a few weeks ago that there wasn't really an visible sign that my sons ankle was also injured. Now since the weeks have passed and his quad is better, his ankle is worse! He couldn't even walk yesterday! So, the doctor put him in a cast for four weeks.
Now, before you think I'm a bad Mama because I didn't notice this... I beg you to listen. I've got a Superhero on my hands. He doesn't complain or like attention when it comes to injuries. He's a "sport/tough guy" and can handle a big amount of pain. So, when I would see him limp or sit down after walking a bit, I figured he just needed to rest his ankle because it was still sore. I figured time would heal it. Boy was I WRONG! He was making things worse. He needed to be completely off of it during these past few weeks. Why the doctor didn't catch that three weeks ago, I don't know. Like I said above, I figure it's because his quad was so badly injured that he didn't even really feel his ankle until the quad healed! Crazy!!!
Something else that is amazing... For those who have read my blog for awhile, you may remember me being in an ankle cast last summer. Well, this "cast" was put on during the same week I injured my ankle last year!!! Why June??!!! It's crazy. My poor little fellow. I pray he find rest and peace without the beach or swimming pool... please pray for his temperment - he's a busy one. It's hard to keep him down - even with a cast! Yikes!
