STICKY NOTE
Weblink Wednesday
What is Weblink Wednesday? click here to find out!!!
Starting NEXT Wednesday, I will be hosting Weblink Wednesday once again. I'm super excited to start this wonderful meme for the 2008 - 2009 school year! As a point of celebration, I will be entering EVERY participant into a drawing for a DVD titled "Unlocking The Mystery Of Life" (click on title to learn about this movie). This is a wonderful DOVE approved movie that presents the scientific case for intelligent design. It's a great educational tool for the young and older homeschool family. I'm sure you will be blessed to win this...
So, be sure to create a Weblink Wednesday post for NEXT Wednesday, September 3, 2008 - and enter it here on Mr. Linky NEXT Wednesday to be entered in the DVD give-a-way. Your must have a post/weblink in order to be entered in the contest.

Hot Days and Cool Beaches
After posting my header photo at the top of this blog (my oldest son), I thought I would share some other beach photos that were taken a couple of weeks ago. Little did I know that it would be our last beach day for awhile. After all, ocean water and little boys ankle casts don't mix well.
With the influence of an older cousin and older brother, a "sand canoe" was made at the tide break. Yes, you can imagin what happened next. With his legs covered in sand, his cousin's legs (in the middle) wrapped around him and high tide approaching, there was no escaping a wave baptism! Yes, a mouth full of water and a bit of sand never hurt anyone... as long as the eyes are closed! Needless to say, it only had to happen once before there was a change in plans.
I decided to take the more relaxed approach and sit in my beach chair with my feet up and have "girly" conversations with my niece and daughter. As you can see from the photos, we were at a local beach where the sand is wide. Lots of wind and lots of walking from the car to the water... I tend to like the more secluded beaches where the waves are small and the beach is small. Not many people around. However, this was such a great beach to gather the family together, have a BBQ, and take a family photo!

I take *tons* of photos and always think about doing "photo essays" like this, but I rarely take the extra time to do so.
