It's been awhile…

It’s been awhile. I didn’t forget this blog, but as time passes, we get busy, the next thing you know it has been months.

We are keeping very busy. We are in basketball season right now. Please pray for our basketall players, the coaches, and our school board. We have some issues here. Moral and value issues.

Allie is playing basketball this month for the 5th graders. Nino has been a ref. who had not given her any slack! LOL.

Michael is growing and loves school, he has been sick this past week.

Dean is still working hard, and building his clients trust. He does a wonderful job!

I am still on the Fire Dept.

I am also on the Jackson County Fair board. The exciting thing is that we just bought 49.5 acres for a new and bigger fairgrounds. I am so excited. We are learning about fundraising at this time.

Love to all

Kansas State Fair and Cross Country meet

I have been trying to upload some pictures of our state fair entries.  The pictures upload to big for the blog site. I will however keep trying.

Allie knitted a small coin and got a red ribbon.  Allie also made some home made flip flop cookies  and she got a purple ribbon!  The flip flop cookies were also placed in the display case at the State Fair.

Nino made a cake which looked like a book and had 4-H on it. However on the ride down the cake fell apart and he only got a white.  That's okay.  The state fair is tough anyway. Try again next year.

Lucas won the varsity cross country race at the Holton meet! We are so proud of him!  His time was 19:35.  The week before at Maur Hill we ran against 4A schools and Lucas came in Number 13th on the varsity race with a time of 19:5.  This is his year I due believe!

Nino is playing football and had a great tackle and a few other plays. I am not much of a football fan but I love to watch him play. He is busy with Cobra Singers and all his other activities.

Nothing more is happening right now.

Surprise Birthday party

My wonderful husband and children had a surprise Birthday party for me on Saturday. I knew something was up, but couldn't figure out what. It was a nice party and lots of people came.

We did canoe down the river on Saturday morning. What a great day. No sunshine, cool, and fun. We ate lunch on a sand dune in the middle of the river.

We are now back to a busy week again. Football game this Friday.

School

This is our full week of school. This is also suppose to be my first day of class online, however I am having some problems, which I hope will be taken care of tomrrow. Thats what happens when you enter a class last minute!

Luke, and NIno have started practice in their sports. Nino has been sore from football, and Lucas tired from cross country. Michael loves his teacher this year, and thinks he is going to have a lot of fun. Allie cannot believe that in 5th grade they give you homework, but do not give you time in class to get it done!

Off to clean the house!
