Welcome to My Blog!

Schooling two active boys has never been more... interesting. That's the word I'm looking for! I love my boys! God has given them the blessing of strong, active bodies and minds. We continually pray the first will remain intact, and the second will remain engaged with Him first, and then the school work. You'll meet my sweet sons, both entirely different, but both loving God to the best of their ability in the way He made them. I lovingly refer to them as my Bell Pepper Boy and my Habanero or Hambone. That should say it all! This blog is an eclectic mix. The events, conversations, and the thoughts behind it all will be in here. Every once in a while I'll try to capture something I don't want to forget. I hope you find things you enjoy. Blogger Friend School - Assignment #23

Nancy hosts the Blogger Friend School for us, and I pop in to participate every once in a while. This week's assignment was an easy target.

What have I become passionate about in the last year? What would I love to do or learn to do?

A few answers come to mind, I suppose:

The things I've always wanted to do: sing harmonies, play piano, become more of a teacher.

The things that have really captured my heart in the last year would be easy. It was just about a year ago that I had the idea to create a discussion board for women. I wanted Bible study and good books to be the main topic of it, but it's function was to encourage women in their spiritual growth. You can find it HERE. Just recently, I took a spiritual gifts assessment, and discussed it HERE. The result was a second blog which would focus on spiritual growth as well. You can find it HERE.

Am I passionate? I don't know, ladies, what do YOU think? *shrug*

I think I made a quick stop by the Titus 2 Forum via your Lounge nook one day, but I got distracted (imagine that happening in a house with two very active boys - well, you actually can imagine that, can't you?) and I never found my way back over there. I'll have to check it our more when I am over this cold or sinus infection or whatever it is that I have (she says as she sneezes for what seems to be the zillionth time today).

Oh when I read the beginning of this entry, I just knew you'd be writing about your new blog! That is wonderful! I'm passionate about education and helping other moms grow in the Lord. I am really blessed how the Lord surprisingly opened an on-line venue for that through 3 yahoo groups...2 for TOG and 1 for Latin. Then I like to run around the blogs and leave encouragement too! I get a little busy to devour things like the Lounge and your special forum and stuff. Educating beginning high schoolers is time consuming! But it is wonderful! And maybe you should install a counter at your blog and forum. You could be getting a lot more hits than you realize and reaching more people than you think. (Maybe you already have a counter and I don't realize it; I don't have one yet.) It amazes me when I think hardly anyone stops by my blog and then later I hear from all the quiet readers through other venues!
