Welcome to My Blog!

Schooling two active boys has never been more... interesting. That's the word I'm looking for! I love my boys! God has given them the blessing of strong, active bodies and minds. We continually pray the first will remain intact, and the second will remain engaged with Him first, and then the school work. You'll meet my sweet sons, both entirely different, but both loving God to the best of their ability in the way He made them. I lovingly refer to them as my Bell Pepper Boy and my Habanero or Hambone. That should say it all! This blog is an eclectic mix. The events, conversations, and the thoughts behind it all will be in here. Every once in a while I'll try to capture something I don't want to forget. I hope you find things you enjoy. Please let me know if you do! Blessings!

Lego Ponderings

Posted in Boy Things
It's been a while since Bell Pepper has given me some blog fodder, so you should be happy to note that he does occasionally grace me with a bit.  :')

At breakfast this morning we were having a casual conversation. We were curious about where God might move next in our lives . . . or even if He might move US. (That's a whole other story.)

Bell Pepper then clarifies that "the state of Connecticut is the maker of Legos! Yet, they don't have any Lego Stores."

Habanero was so impressed with his brother's 9 1/2 year old sage wisdom.  *lol* Actually, while I wasn't surprised he might know that, I was intrigued it came up in the middle of the current conversation.

He continued to inform us that he had checked every coupon in every Lego set. They all instruct the owner to send the coupon to Connecticut. He's noticed that every coupon he's seen has listed stores in other places. Poor Connecticut! How sad that there are Legos, Legos everywhere, but n'ere a place to shop.   *sigh*

Some children read what is there in a given situation. Some children read what's NOT there.  *lol*

So cute! We have many lego stories right now... it's the hottest thing around here. Unfortunately, we are also finding them in the catbox, the toilet, under the table...etc.

You know you have too many Legos when. . .

You have to dissect your vacuum cleaner bags before tossing them out. *sigh*

Ha! I love it! It's awesome to see the wheels in their heads turning and finding out that even when they seem to just be goofing off, they're really making connections.

Any more problems from the rogue C-boxer?

Quite possibly the 3 greatest toys in the world? ~ Legos , Lincoln Logs and Tinker Toys of course they are also probably the 3 most misplaced toys too :) Isn't it funny how even the large "toddler" size legos get lost? Glad you liked the "answering machine", I just felt like being goofy :) Feel free to use the "machine" anytime you need too ~ Have a great one ~ Nikki

That's a great obervation!! Poor Connecticut :( Where would we be without our itty-bitty pieces of connecting plastic that make you cry when you step on them? They keep my kids entertained for hours!

I have to disagree with a commenter above though . . . the three greatest toys ever made are: Legos, Lincoln Logs, and Lightsabers :)

My son has entered all the contests and has never put these facts together. I need to see what he thinks about this.
