Welcome to My Blog!

Schooling two active boys has never been more... interesting. That's the word I'm looking for! I love my boys! God has given them the blessing of strong, active bodies and minds. We continually pray the first will remain intact, and the second will remain engaged with Him first, and then the school work. You'll meet my sweet sons, both entirely different, but both loving God to the best of their ability in the way He made them. I lovingly refer to them as my Bell Pepper Boy and my Habanero or Hambone. That should say it all! This blog is an eclectic mix. The events, conversations, and the thoughts behind it all will be in here. Every once in a while I'll try to capture something I don't want to forget. I hope you find things you enjoy. Please let me know if you do! Blessings!

Where in the World Is . . .

Posted in Mom Things
You might be wondering what happened to me. (Or not?)  Well, after finishing what I had to get done, I promised I would take a couple days off to do nothing. That whole idea was lovely, but it really didn't work. I had to et some things done, even if I had other plans in my mind. It's okay. I actually enjoyed some of what I was doing.  :'D

A little background for you: our house needs a lot of work. I am here the most, so much of it will be something I have to tackle, I guess. Yesterday was my out in the yard day. There is much to do out there, and I jumped in.

The projects to be done:
Clean up and plant my "Secret Garden" along the side and behind our garage.
Fill holes in current flower beds and the two new ones I cut a few weeks ago.
Mulch the beds so I don't have to WEED them!  *grin*
Find a solution to our muddy areas in the yard.
Weed & feed the yard. (Mow it, too.)
Try to figure out how to fix the chain link fence post that heaved.

There's more to do that that list, but this is my list for now.

Yesterday I transplanted hosta and sedum to the "walkway" between the garage and short fence that leads to the "secret garden" area behind the garage. I found an extra bleeding heart, so I moved it to a spot back there, too. I placed hosta in a couple beds that had holes, too. I still have enough hosta in one area of my yard to place more in the secret garden. It's deep shade back there, so I have to be creative.

I have to share my joy with you in the fabulous blessing from God in all of this. At the beginning of the season I was sure I needed to buy a lot of plant material for all that I needed to get done. It was rather depressing, to be honest. Yet, I've found God must have increased my own plant material for me when I wasn't looking. I have a lot of plants to split and move around just within my own boundaries. Loaves, fishes, and hosta?  *grin*

Please pray my transplants thrive and grow well for me. I really need to see some lovely landscaping here for so many reasons!

I'll be finishing what I can this weekend. I'd like to get a lot done. The boys are assigned to sorting their clothing (fits, too small, summer, winter). A few space bags should make it more manageable for storage. I'm sorting our extra "stuff" during the nighttime hours. The stuff that isn't staying will go to our garage sale or to Goodwill.

*sigh* As my friend Jenn says: I'm busy, busy, so dreadfully busy!  :')

I have been wondering where you were actually. I miss you, but understand when life gets busy. Drop by when you get a chance.

I have been wondering what you were up to, but it is one of those things about blogging that is hard for me to figure out. Do I ask why someone is too busy to post or just deal with it knowing they are taking care of real life stuff that is more important? It's the whole blogging without obligation thing that I think about frequently. We blog. We make friends. We get busy and don't blog. Our new friends wonder why we are not blogging. We feel bad and write a post about why we are too busy to blog. This has turned into a book. I must have just had to get that off my chest. I am glad to hear from you!
