Welcome to My Blog!

Schooling two active boys has never been more... interesting. That's the word I'm looking for! I love my boys! God has given them the blessing of strong, active bodies and minds. We continually pray the first will remain intact, and the second will remain engaged with Him first, and then the school work. You'll meet my sweet sons, both entirely different, but both loving God to the best of their ability in the way He made them. I lovingly refer to them as my Bell Pepper Boy and my Habanero or Hambone. That should say it all! This blog is an eclectic mix. The events, conversations, and the thoughts behind it all will be in here. Every once in a while I'll try to capture something I don't want to forget. I hope you find things you enjoy. Please let me know if you do! Blessings!

I Rock?

Posted in Mom Things
I am a mom. I am a college graduate. I hold a degree in English Literature and Education. I have two awesome sons. Apparently, I "rock" as a mom. Who knew?

The hip mom in me knows what this means. The college graduate is somewhat confused. The English Literature scholar says, "What?" A pronoun followed by a noun which has been verbified? Can you do that?

The qualifications for the aforementioned "rock-ness" includes the following:
  • Allow my sons to eat unhealthy or leftover foods for breakfast.
  • Allow those same sons to play with friends, even if chores are hanging.
  • Take my sons and the neighbor girl to the park for an hour.
  • Then turn those children over to the neighbor for a while with water guns.
Yes, apparently, I rock?

Ah, thank goodness for air conditioning!  :'D

I was an English/Education major too! And I also rock...sometimes. (And yes, I know that's a fragment!)

I love how easy it is to "rock" when you have boys. My daughter who I love and is fourteen doesn't think I "rock" nearly as much as she used to. Thanks for sharing this, it really made me smile. Richie has told me I rock many times and it always makes me smile.
