It's Friday......AGAIN!
I can't believe that it's already Friday again, but this has been a good week. We got to spend some time with some friends on Thursday, and were visited by some friends we have not seen a while on Friday. It's always nice to spend time with those you value, and nicer knowing God loves you enough to bless your life with these people :)
The garden got weeded this week, the laundry room got cleaned out and reorganized. The weather played tricks on me today, and I never got around to mowing, but that grass ain't goin' anywhere...I'm certain of it!
I had started reading "Created to Be His Help Meet" by Debi Pearl for the 2nd time...and lost my book. Carly gets double Christmas presents this year, because she found it for me! I was certain I had inadvertantly trashed it, but it appears as though Gordon put it away for me.....deep within an empty china cabinet that is on its way out the door. So, I'm reading on, and refreshing myself on my role and my attitude. Amazingly enough, my husband said something that REALLY, REALLY made me realize that my appropriate role in our relationship is a gift to him. He had an absolutely horrible day yesterday....everything that could go wrong, went wrong, he was feeling totally defeated...and still unsure of what is God's will vs. his will for his career. Anyway, he called me on his way home from work yesterday and told me a little about his frustrations, and I listened and told him I understood and that I was sorry his day was so awful and blah blah blah. Last night, after the kids were in bed, the both of us were sitting in the living room watching Fox News and he said, "It was so good to hear your voice today. I called you because I really needed to hear your voice, and I knew that you would listen, you would understand, and you wouldn't unload on me."
We officially have 2 weeks left of school before we take 8 weeks off. We will start back mid-July so that we can take the entire Holiday season off and still finish our year in May. I've been inventorying what I have that I know I will use next year, and what I need to get for next year. I'd rather get started now and have more time to organize and prepare. I'd LOVE to get other areas more organized, like making monthly menus and planning my shopping trips around it, and knowing what I can prepare ahead of time and blah blah blah (again)...we'll see, I reckon....I'll just have to take it one day at a time and see how it goes.
I wanna give a shout out to Judy.....hope you're enjoying your new "job" :) We miss you at Mom's Night! Speaking of which......IS NEXT TUESDAY!! Yeeehawwww!! It's warming up out there, we've got NO REASON to make it home before 2 a.m. Can't wait to hang with my homies :)
My little guys are done eating dinner, and they are in desparate need of a bath after their stint outside today. I'm off.....

It's almost time for MNO again - does that mean you are due for another blog entry??? I can't wait for another night of trivia
We got our pool open and my kiddos are all excited to have a pool party/BBQ. Would you guys be up for it? I left Laurie a comment too, thinking maybe a weekend family thing might be kinda fun?
